4.6a B2 introduces extensions to Personal Books to support "Sermon File" functionality.

As far as I can see this isn't included in the L5 A3 code stream.

Is this the case?
Any idea when this functionality will be folded in?

I'm just trying to work out whether I should build sermon-related PBs in 4.6a or 5 for the time being!

I think that's effectively what is being introduced in 4.6A B2 - but I never used this in L3 so may be missing the point.

Every new feature and bugfix from 4.6a will be included in 5.0, but since they're being developed in parallel, 5.0 may lag behind 4.6a for a couple of alphas. (We don't copy the code over as soon as it's written.)

For now, the sermon PBB won't get the extra indexes unless you build it in 4.6a.

That is understandable. FWIW I would not ship L5 publicly absent the features that currently exist in L4 (to include what might be planned for 4.6a). I can see where many users would have flashbacks to the missing features list when L4 orginally shipped.

I am not saying that with the mindset that anything is currently missing that I am concerned about. I say that because of all the threads that complained about the missing features for the last couple of years. I think if L5 were to ship with a list of features they currently have in L4, with the promise they would be implemented in the future, it would have a negative impact on the initial perception of L5.

I was actually one of several who defended Logos for a long time, making clear that everyone knew what the software was missing when compared to L3 when they bought it.

My suggestion here was to avoid that perception and the negative feedback that would result. If L5 is going to have everything 4.6x has when it ships, this is a non-issue.
