re-installing my Logos Bible Software 3

Hello, I am having problems switching my Leaders Library (Logos Bible Software 3) from my old laptop which ran Vista, to my new Laptop which runs Windows 8. The disks won't work, and this update on the logos site doesn't seem to help either http://www.logos.com/support/windows/L3/30g_update
Am I going to have to buy a new version? Or is there a simple way of doing this that I am missing?
Appreciate any help....Scott

Logos 4 software is free, wiki has => Getting Started with Logos
A number of Logos 4 features need new resources, which are available => http://www.logos.com/minimalcrossgrade

Carefully read the whole thread as there may be problems with 3.0g on W8

Well, I am not sure that I can install it on my new laptop - but the reason is not the operating system...I am on the Church's intranet network, and since I need an administrators password to logon - my software can't be loaded, because apparently it can't be shared. Any way to get around that - I am not planning on sharing it. It will only be for my personal use.

If the laptop is your property (not the Church's), you should be able to install it in your Admin account whilst not connected to the Church's intranet. Otherwise you have to get permission to install software from the Church.
