Print from several commentaries at once?

Is it possible to tell Logos to grab a commentary section on a passage from 3-4 selected commentaries and be able to print/export that info for later review? It seems a custom Passage Guide would be the natural vehicle for this feature, but all the print function does in a passage guide is print out the results of the passage guide, which is not all that helpful.

I like the idea, but the difficulty would be that the majority of commentaries break up the text differently and the passage guide is just presenting the commentaries that interest with your chosen passage.    You might be looking at say Numbers 21:4-9.  A single volume commentary might only look at Numbers 22, and be a page half a page long, while a mutli-volume commentary might look at this passage breaking it down into two parts, say verse 4-6 and then 7-10 and cover this over 3 1/2 pages.  Users with extremely large libraries could end up printing a small book's worth of 'commentary'.

I understand the convenience of what you are suggesting and think it would need to at the very least make use of a check box option where the user could choose which commentaries to include in the printout and display a print preview so the user would not beforehand exactly how much they are printing out.

At the moment I think your best option it to copy and paste into a note file all the info your interested in, or print from each commentary individually - but I figure you already know those options and they don't satisfy.

    Wouldn't Clippings be better/easier?

I don't believe this is possible at this time. I agree with the other poster who said that it would be hard to do because some commentaries handle versification differently. I mostly just read on my computer or iPad, but if I do want to take a printout of commentaries with me I usually copy paste into Word and then either send that to my Kindle or print it.

Do clippings print well ? Will they hold this amount of material - thinking of commentaries with pages of information not just a paragraph ?

Haven't really tried using them in this manner.  Maybe it could work.  I don't' know the answer on that one hence didn't suggest it.

I haven't used them much either. Hence the question.[:)]

I have created clippings for a passage that I am studying out of every commentary that I own that mentions that commentary.  The length of the commentary section has not been a problem to me so far.  I have included sections from the Word commentary that are fairly lengthy.  This way the next time I want to look at items of interest about a passage I have studied in the past, the clipping is faster than opening up a new Passage Guide and each commentary.

But I have not printed these clippings out before.

Looked at wiki page on clippings.  They can be printed or exported.  This should solve the problem.
