Logos on iPad crashes constantly since iOS6 upgrade
Anybody else seeing this? I have deleted and re-installed the app, but it doesn't make any difference. When I click on my daily reading plan, it goes to the reading then crashes. I relaunch the app and try a second time, it crashes again. Usually, the third time works...but then I get to the end of my reading for the day and hit "Mark Read" and it crashes again. This has happened pretty consistently each time I've tried to do my reading since the iOS6 upgrade. It works, but I get several crashes through the process. If it makes any difference, my reading plan is in ISV and is one of the custom chronological reading plans.

I couldn't tell you...I don't usually do my reading plan on the desktop. I'll try it tonight and let you know. Thanks for the quick response :-)

I am seeing this, but not just with Logos. I'm beginning to think that the upgrade to 6.0 was a blunder in many ways.Anybody else seeing this? I did my reading on the desktop app this evening and didn't have any problems...but my son followed along on the iPad and it didn't crash tonight either...go figure.

I installed ios6 on my phone and the home page and reading plan are not even available now. deleted and reinstalled logos and still no reading plan. any body know what's up?

Mark - the iPhone app doesn't have a "home page."
Reading plans are found in the sidebar. In the upper left hand corner, press the squarish icon. In the sidebar which just opened, press the second icon (magnifying glass). This panel actually has six panels which you can flip through sideways. The second panel has the devotionals and reading plans.
Does that help you out?

Logos now fails to load books on iPad with iOS6 upgrade. Everything works fine on the desktop, but . . . nada on the iPad! Any thoughts? Thanks in advance . . .

Is this happening with a specific resource, or any/all? Have you done a full shut down of the device? Have you tried deleting and reinstalling the app (NOTE: you will lose your downloaded resources)?

FYI - the original iPad isn't comparable with iOS 6, so you and I are both stuck on 5. [:S]

It's happened twice so far on 2 different resources. Did a complete shut down of the device after this happened.
Will consider doing a reinstall if it continues but really don't want to.

I am disappointed that I can't update to iOS 6, but I think it is better for Apple to be conservative on the specs, rather than to have users who update and have hardware issues. My iPad was great when I got it, but it is considerably slower than my iPhone 4s. Maybe I will be in a position to buy the fourth gen iPad when it comes out! [:D]

Did you just try today for the first time? There are server and sync issues this morning. It is possible that you are experiencing this. Try again later in the day and see what happens.

I have go the some error message after my iPad locked up, then I removed it and tried to re install it and obtained the same message.

As far as I know the primary issue you are experiencing is related to the server issues today. Hopefully things will be back up and running soon.

I deleted HCSB from my device, now (even if I am connected to wifi) whenever I try to open the app I get a window saying "error loading book" then the app freezes.
I tried closing the app (double tap front button then hit red x), tried turning off device (holding top button until it ask Shut off device?) and restarting.
Any suggestions short of uninstall and reinstall the app (don't want to re download the 30 or so resources that are locally installed).
running latest version of App in iPad2 (16 Gb wifi) with iOS 6

David - Just to clarify: You deleted a resource that you no longer wanted on your device... After you did that, on restart the app wanted to redownload that resource, but crashes (and doesn't let you do anything)?
You are NOT trying to redownload this resource. Is that correct?
In your iOS settings, scroll to the bottom and look for Logos Bible. Turn "Start at Homepage" on. See if that works. If not, your best bet may be to delete the app.
Are you running beta on L4?

You are close, but I don't want to redownload, I just want to open (from the Logos servers). Thanks for the hint about "start at Homepage"! That allows me to at least open the app.
This morning, this is what I got (sorry it is crooked, I must have been moving it when I took the screen capture)
Now (thanks to the "Start at Homepage" suggestion) I get

But If I try to open the HSCB (which had previously been downloaded, but is now removed) I get

It seems as if the APP looks on the local device and can't find it and doesn't know to then check the cloud. I have the same problem with another resource (Erasing Hell by Francis Chan) that used to be on my local device but I removed to free up some memory.

For me, I get the same error. the page that it shows is trying to open ESV bible. I just upgraded to IOS6 couple days ago, that was when this problem started.
