Is there any reason why I cannot get the smart tag option to work in power point? I have checked all the necessary boxes, but powerpoint does not give me a "replace with passage" option so that I can paste the reference in my presentation. Thanks!
Hi Pastor Michael
What version of PowerPoint are you using? Smart tags don't work with 2010 - see http://wiki.logos.com/Smart_Tags for details.
Graham
Unfortunately, Microsoft changed the implementation of Smart Tags in PowerPoint 2010 in a manner which stopped the Logos Smart Tag working correctly, and we were unable to find a workaround. (I haven't checked PowerPoint 2013 yet, but given that Microsoft seems to be phasing out the Smart Tags feature, I wouldn't count on it being fixed.)

I am using 2007.
Graham: I am using 2007.
Sorry, I think I misunderstood what you were saying.
Do you actually have the Smart Tag functionality working and it is just not providing the option to replace the reference with the associated passage?
If so, I am seeing the same thing. While the option is present in Word it doesn't appear in PowerPoint.
This was actually flagged some time ago - http://community.logos.com/forums/p/22045/166861.aspx#166861 - in the middle of a long and complicated debate about getting Smart Tags working but I don't recall seeing any comment from Logos about whether this should work in PowerPoint.
Hope this helps

Hey Graham:
I looks like you have the same problem that I do. It will put the line under the reference and bring up the pop-box, but it will not give me the option to put it in my presentation just like is showing on your screen. Thanks!
Ok - that's good to know we are seeing the same thing.
As mentioned this is - as far as I can see - the "state of play" at the moment.
Would need someone from Logos to comment on whether this is likely to change but - in view of the fact that Microsoft are deprecating the use of Smart Tags - I wouldn't expect too much
