Cannot download books
This morning I tried to download resources to both my iPhone and iPad. No matter which device with both wifi and 3G I just kept on getting box that says cannot download resource. Why is this happening? It worked fine all of last week!!!! As far as I know nothing updated....this is very frustrating as I cannot take the books I need with me! I tried closing programs and shutting down entire device--to no avail.
I have now tried downloading about 15 books--None of them were able to download. To make it even more frustrating, when I open the app innumerable boxes keep popping up that I need to cancel through before I can do my study....I was thinking of just deleting the whole app and redownloading but am afraid that I will lose the books I have already downloaded and not be able to re-download them.
The other thing I don't understand about the forum is that I appear to be the only one mentioning this problem. Is it really just my devices or my books? Why isn't this whole forum lit up with this issue?
It took me a couple weeks to get the Logos apps to stop crashing...now this.
Logos mobile is great when it works...but it is just too unreliable to use. Will logos software people ever get this right?

There is a good chance you are just experiencing server errors. The website and sync system have been up and down all morning.

Wonder if new iPhone users with logos ( like me ) are causing server problems? After I installed my new phone and got it set up logos kept saying cannot download resources missing resources and so on. I then uninstalled logos app and then tried to reinstall it and now it's saying preparing Library and it has said that for the last several hours

I have had a somewhat similar problem. In doing a search on my iPad, it locked up so I then removed the app and tried to re-install it and am getting error messages and it is in the process of updating my books which is taking forever. Definately they have problems with their server. I have had similar problems in the past. They should have 24/7 phone support considering all of the problems they have.

Doubtful. More than likely it is unrelated.

I would kill the app, maybe even uninstall, and try again later.
What version of L4 are you running, by the way? There are some new features in the beta which assist in downloading resources to the mobile apps.

In this case, 24/7 phone support would not be of any benefit. There is nothing on the user side that can be adjusted to fix the situation.

I am getting the same error message. Hope it's just something on the server. I use iOS6.

It definitely appears to be on the Logos server side of things. My iPad is on the network - all my other internet-based apps are working fine. I've killed and restarted the Logos app. In Logos, I cannot do any of these:
- search (more rationale for not making search cloud-based)
- word lookup (more rationale for not making word lookup cloud-based)
- update resources (i.e. download books - I have 3 which need updated)Donnie

I am getting something similar. This("Error loading book") message started poping up after I had upgraded to IOS6 & the new Logos update. So not sure which one would be the cause, and if the "offline" feature is working. I just read that even on wifi, IOS6 is still using bandwidth from Verizon(which is my phone network), so not sure if logos is affected by IOS6 as a result.
Now I cannot use Logos on my ipone, since the first thing it encounter is the error message. I will try to unintsall and re-install later today to see if this will solve the problem.

I don't understand why Logos can't tell their customers when they are having problems. They have all our e-mails. Couldn't they just shoot out one that said they were have server problems (whether planned or unplanned) so that we don't waste 2 hrs on a Sat. morning trying to do something that can't be done?
Do they have a "suggestion box" somewhere?

If anyone is still having issues downloading resources please indicate how many/which resources you are trying to download and post logs right after you've received the error message. You can access them by going to the gear button>Help>"Send Support info". You can email that to yourself and then post it form your email here.

My latest in a series of problems trying to download books is occurring with New Visions of Isaiah. The book appears to have downloaded and so far I can view it on my IPhone, but it never completes "installing". I am afraid once I am off line I will lose the book, which will be a real pain. How do I get it to finish the installation? Obviously my first thought was to delete and re-download...but obviously I cannot do that because the button just keeps on saying "installing".
