4.6a Beta 3 "new" reason to crash?

I was paging through the RCL Daily readings (actuallt I was "space bar" ing through them).

Also open were 2 PBBs.

I have already deleted ALL of my Visual , Wordlists, Handouts etc.

So not sure what the following reason indicates:

Error detail: ArgumentOutOfRangeException: length must be positive.

[The indexer had crashed much earlier--but that often happens. Not sure that it is related].

[The indexer had crashed earlier in the day BUT no logs were generated--these go back to 4.5 days,].

I'll probably get these to you just as you are releasing Beta 4. O(h well.

I would say it's the same thing. They seem to be modifying their database formats and the transition is blowing up everything. (Loading docs, i.e. user content, should never ever ever cause an app to crash though! - they are not integral to the functioning of the app.)

I'm guessing this is related to Layouts from the log. As always, just a guess. Does it crash every time you load it? Does it crash if you start with a blank workspace? Try deleting layout snapshots?

No it does not crash every time.

I can even load with a resource showing.

(due to this Beta 3) I have already deleted a large number of Files.

Recently, I went through the Layouts, culling some, renaming others and I really want to keep what I have (which is quite a few-118) so I am not going to start deleting any further Layouts.

The crash appears to be connected to Layouts but a Logos4.log will tell me more. Make sure logging is enabled and upload the log the next time it crashes.

That Logos4 log (posted a couple of posts before this) was what I had, and so un-helpful that I've deleted it from my machine.

On start-up this morning it has generated a new one.

I'll post back if/when it crashes again.

I havebeen running Beta 4 with no [bad] issues.

But I did not re-install or reacreate any of the Visual filters.

I did redo some Layouts with no [bad] issues.
