This should have returned at least 1 result - or should have if my syntax was correct.
Use:
<date 586 BC>
(Data type syntax, not field syntax.)
Thanks Bradley ... I clearly need more examples on the initial page[;)] Unfortunately it still doesn't work:
It works for me (although it appears to be off by one character); are you still indexing by any chance? We'll look into this some more.
are you still indexing by any chance?
I checked that - but even newer resources had finished indexing. However, I just discovered that it works when I bring the search up for the first time of the day. But it fails after the clause search "subject:Jesus (Son of God) object:Levi" Note that Levi is not qualified because no correct qualification for the tax collector/apostle appeared. In fact, after the failed clause search I can close the search, open a new search window and still get zero results. However, a plain text search like Abraham does work but does not reset whatever went wrong because the date search still fails.
Should this have given me results? It seems like a logical extention.
It does, and we plan to implement searching for people, things, etc. in a future version. It won't be in the first release of Logos 5.
I tried the date search and got some strange results!
I don't understand why the second and third hits are shown
Graham
The third hit (732-332 BCE) is a date range that includes the year you searched for. (Like Bible searching, the default search finds intersecting ranges.)
The second looks like a bug; we'll investigate.
Thanks Bradley

Sorry, I missed the three hundred in the second date.
I am just running in some new glasses and it looks like they need some more work[:)]
Open the resource and right-click the text; you can see that there is a tagging error (hence the incorrect search result).
Good catch Bradley!
Good to know the search function isn't the issue here.
