Notes
When I highlight a passage, I can attach a note. These notes do not show uo in the note file. Is that a totally unrelated feature. 2nd. Are there ant plans to allow formatting of these attached notes? Is there a way to search all these notes?

Notes ALWAYS show up in a note file... it may just be that you are looking in the wrong note file. [;)] If you edit the note, you should be able to see which note file the note resides.

Notes are editable for formatting from within L4. I don't know when this might be available on mobile.

Not really on mobile. Try searching "my content" from within L4.

Thank you so much. Found the note file, cleaned it up, noticed I could change the name and now I should be able to be more productive. I used to copy passages and make notes in Evernote
Then I discovered that I could do the notes right there. Just couldn't figure out what I could do with them. Will play with it more now. Thanks again.April

Firstly thank you for your excellent software and rapid support on this forum. Very impressed.
Talking about notes and highlights, is there any way of turning individual notes and highlights on and off on the iPad app? I realise you can turn all notes on/off in the view settings. Please could I ask for a feature which allows you to show/hide notes, and perhaps even groups of notes.

Welcome to the forums Andrew! [:)]

This is not currently a feature of the mobile app, but it is available on the desktop version. I agree that it would be a good feature and I hope it comes to the mobile app before too long.
FYI – I am not a Logos employee but a volunteer. Logos employees will have the Logos logo under their avatar.

Okay. Have come back for more help. I did not realize that the differently named note files were a different style. I renamed notes I'd created and deleted all the blank ones. Now I guess I've deleted default notes. Any way to get them back?

I did not realize that the differently named note files were a different style.
The default behavior is for notes to go into a "pallet specific" note file. If you have a pallet named "my faves," a note file will be created called "my faves." This behavior can be changed… you can select any other another note file, or you choose to have highlight notes go into the "last used note file" (this is what I call "sticky"). This behavior is changed through each pallet menu… See screen shots below.

You may be able to get them back by calling logos. They should have the ability to "undelete" the file.

Well, I contacted customer support and the lady I talked to didn't really understand what I was asking. However, she had a list of all the note documents I'd deleted and none of them had the name for the various palettes. ie...i no longer have one for emphasis markup, inductive, I have solid colors and highlighter pens but not sure if they are the original.. Am I to understand that if I seleted the palate specific one, it would be more than just a blank file but would behave according to the type of note file? Or all they all just blank note documents that are all alike, just with different names. She knew nothing about default note documents. But said if they didn't show deleted, I could not get them back.
Another question..I am sure this has been asked before but I can't find it. Are passage lists available in ipad? if not( and I couldn't find where they are), is it planned for the future?

I'm not sure I understand your question… let me explain again and see if that answers your question. If not, please ask again. Sometimes it takes me a while. [:)]
The DEFAULT behavior of highlighting is for a new note file to be created the FIRST time EACH pallet is used. The Note file will be named according to the Pallet name, i.e. "Emphasis Markup." Personally, I don't think of notes in terms of the pallets I use… I prefer to have resource specific or thematic note files. Because of my preference, I have changed the settings in EACH pallet to "Save In: Most Recent Note File." This behavior means that whenever I open a note file, ALL highlights will go into that note file until I open a new note file. At that point, all highlights will go into the newly opened note file. My system is fairly simple to me… when I want to start highlighting in book XYZ, I open up my note file named XYZ and start highlighting. When I change resources that I want to highlight in, I open the note file for that new resource. Occasionally, I will be doing some temporary research where I don't intend the highlights to remain forever. I will then create a thematic note file. I am free to highlight in any resource I want and as long as I don't open a new note file, the notes will go into the thematic file.

Passage lists do not currently sync to the mobile app, and I am unaware of Logos plans to add this feature. I would assume that they will come… but who knows when. It could be more than a year away… (or it could be tomorrow [:)])

OOOOHHHHH! Now I understand totally. Thank you so much. Makes total sense now.
I used to copy and paste from my Bible into Evernote, but I much prefer using the notes feature. As I play around with them, I learn better how to use them.
NOTE TO LOGOS DEVELOPERS.: Is it possible to have a note time stamp when created? Not the note document but the individual notes with each document. Sure would be helpful.
