Greek pronunciation addin not available for purchase?

I have the Bible Study package which does not have the greek pronunciation tool. On the Hebrew audio tool page (http://www.logos.com/product/5960/hebrew-audio-pronunciations), which is in development, there is a link to the corresponding greek addin (which should be available).

However when clicking the link I get a 'product not found' message and searching for 'Greek Pronunciation Addin with Erasmian & Mordern Data Sets' on the store get me no clear results.

So the question is how can I can get the pronunciation feature?

Thanks

I believe this comes with the scholars base package or higher.

It seems it is not for sale any longer but comes as a feature for Original Languages package or above.

Thank you for the info. So just to confirm, this addin cannot be bought separately? I find it odd that I would need to spend another $350+ just to get this feature. The addin was being sold for less than $30.

Will try to contact support and ask for that.

    Thanks

The whole concept of add-in's was dropped in L4. Rather than different users having different code than Logos had to maintain - and ask about each time we called customer support - we all run the same code and our resources control what we can or cannot do. Much simpler maintenance, much cheaper support services, hopefully more money to build us more goodies.

Great concept too since that sort of led to the PBB add-in (on) to be made available for free in L4...not only free, but a better version of the older one.  I paid for my old PBB but it doesn't bother me that I can no longer use it since L4's is free and better.

I'm a new user (just bought my Bible Study package) and as such have no experience in how Logos worked previously. While the concepts of 'packages' is interesting I find it odd that I such an investment (Scholar's package) should be made for a single feature (pronunciation).

I have pre-ordered the Hebrew version of the tool (and was allowed to do it separately) and it seems fair that the greek counterpart should be offered separately as well.

Great point! Ask (keep on asking) and it might be given unto you...;-)

    Blessings!

It never hurts to call customer service and ask if there is a way to purchase the necessary resource separately.

The Greek Pronunciation add-on was available as a separate purchase for L4 just a little over a year a go. I'm surprised it's not available now!!!!!! [:O] A great shame if it has been withdrawn.

I think it's only a few weeks that this addin was last recommended to someone and available for purchase, along with the other L3 addins. As a user who did his first months in Logos without a base package (just Minimal Crossgrade and a self-built library, which included some of these addins) I concur the overall regrets. It really is a pity to take away this possibility to enhance a "limited functionality L4" into users' direction of study.

We have seen many threads that talk about the need for low-level entry to L4 and a smooth curve towards the more scholarly oriented packages. Judging from my own experience, these addins allow for small steps to build up a working Logos system that will probably lead users to incrementally buy more and more until they invest into a larger base package. Hopefully Logos will bring them back (maybe L5 will have functionality modules?) and in the meantime allow purchasing through Customer Service.

The Libronix 3 PBB is now free. Just so everyone knows. If it's not unlocked for you just contact Logos.

This hasn't been my experience.  From buying the Leader's package it is missing some features which can be bought as add-ins.

    The final section of

    http://www.logos.com/comparison

shows any package below Scholar's varies in the Features it has.

My apologies - I was speaking technically rather than from the user perspective. You are correct that there a features that are not activated, usually because you don't have the resource that makes the feature work. In L3 it was because you didn't have the application code necessary to make it work. IT retirees are terrible at remembering to explain clearly.[;)]

John, thanks for this information! That nearly sounds too good to be true.

I'm one of those who didn't have L3 PBB functionality and would like to use it. Three questions:

    • What's free, the PB reader licence or the L3 personal book builder? These used to be different licences
    • Where do I find PB's in L3?
    • Do you have a name from Logos to go to (sometimes not all of their many employees have the same level of current knowledge)?

Thanks again, hope it proves true!

Ah I see what you mean now :-)  Yes I agree with that!   Thanks.

I am not sure about the first two questions. I bought the reader licence when it was available about two years ago (maybe three). But I contacted Bob directly (last month I think) and he told me in an email it was unlocked and free now. He told me to speak with Don Everett and he would unlock it for me.

Here are Bob's exact words to me in that email.

    "I
    believe PBB is
permanently unlocked now for everyone. If not, Don can unlock it for
    you."

    Hope that helps[:)]
