Occasionally, some one mentions L5 alpha. Does such a thing exist or is this just speculation?
Soli Deo Gloria,
Randy
Logos hasn't announced anything publicly. Bob did post some documents, I think related to Faithlife, which had screen shots that said L5.
Could you give me the link, Alabama? I'd like to look at the screen shots. Thanks.

When a program is in alpha, it is being tested within the confines of the company; no one outside of the company is testing/using the program.
Therefore, I am going to say yes because of the screen shots that I have seen.
The next phase will likely be a private beta. This implies that a small amount of people outside of the company is actually testing the program, and the people who are testing the program cannot say a thing about the program because of the contract that they signed.
I don't remember where they are Randall, sorry. Your best bet is to scour the Faithlife pages… but it isn't really worth your time. The point of the documents wasn't L5, nor were there any major secrets revealed.
I do know that one of the threads have been removed/deleted/hidden so people cannot see it.
Here is the link. https://faithlife.com/whatsnext Parts of Faithlife will be integrated within the software. https://www.logos.com/media/_faithlife/SharingAndRecommending.pdf for a sample.
Thank you.
That may be the normal standard, but it seems L4Mac did actually have public Alphas: http://wiki.logos.com/Mac_Release_Notes_and_History#Mac_Alpha_Pre-Release_Notes_and_History.

It did. L4 Win had been released, and we Mac users had been agitating for years for a version of our own, so Bob decided to release what was ready.

The Logos 4 Mac alpha releases had a sense of opening gift(s) every week or two as more features became available for use. Also had a number of crashes along the way.
Keep Smiling [:)]
I remember we once alpha tested one of the iterations of Libronix. Can't tell you the version number now, but remember discussing it in the newsgroups.
