Post your desired enhancements here
A few suggested workflow enhancements:
1. The Screen splitter semi circle - on double tap, toggle between "hide second panel" and "move to last position" i.e. would like to it be easier to quick hide and recall the second panel.
2. Library should remember scroll position when returning from viewing resource properties. Currently, the list returns to the top which is quite irritating esp when trying to download e.g. a series of commentaries and ESP when having to wade through all the Perseus stuff. From memory I think filtered library list does retain scroll position, so the full list needs to do this too.
3. Add search hit counts to (1) Search results (2) Bible Word Study lists in Translation section
4. Save layouts - OK these are very simple but I often want to switch between "Bible + Greek\Heb" and "Bible Dictionary" layouts for example, but I don't think this is possible without opening the library and finding the resources each time.
Any more for any more? I've only focused on workflow here.
Cheers
Richard

It has been nice getting the updates from .94 to 1.13 so rapidly. While my desire would be eventually to see parity with IOS devices, I do have some things that I'd like to have routinely now.
I would very much like to see bible word study work. On my Iphone it looks up the definition at a minimum. On my Nook Tablet with A2A card it brings up a screen with definition as one of the sections but there's never anything in it.
It occurs to me that perhaps it does work but just not for my particular configuration. Is that the case?
Beyond that, my most frequent wish is that when I read a book, I'd like to have the option of having it synch with the last read position on any of the installations I might have been reading (Iphone, tablet, laptop, desktop, biblia ...). I often find myself rereading things. It's probably good for me but I'd like to only do it when I intend to reread a section.
Thanks for a great tool and God Bless,
Luther

Hi Luther:
The syncing of the last place read should be working between all devices. I can verify that it works within Windows-Biblia-Android.

This is also working on my Android; definition appears after long-press of word, then press of a button.
Maybe there's an issue with the Android OS version that runs on the Nook.

1. We need the ability to 'undownload' a book that has been downloaded to the SD card accidentally.
2. With the Greek interlinears I'd like to be able to choose which lines of info show or are hidden.

1. If a dictionary is installed, be able to highlight a word and give the definition from the dictionary.

I agree with that English dictionary idea! It bothers me that I can get all I want about the Greek, but can't get a definition about the English. I really like the way definitions are handled in the Kindle Fire dictionary.

any more?
I'm a broken record, but there are 2 we need just to gain parity with ancient Olive Tree for Pocket PC v 6.0:
- Off-line simple search, with options to Include/Exclude Any/All of a text string
- Search range (verses, books, etc.)
I hope we get these soon....

Thanks for the reply.
To get the read position sync to work, do I have to close the book? I notice that if I open a book on another device, it does open to the correct location. If I have the book open on multiple devices at the same time, they all keep their own position in the text. I use favorites to keep the last position but when I'm on a laptop it doesn't save to the mobile favorites. I can move it there but that's more trouble than just pulling out my phone and manually going to the page number I ended on in the laptop.
I suspect that if I followed the process imagined by the programmers, it'd work fine. I'm just not sure what that process is. I am pretty sure that it's something I'm doing that Logos isn't expecting.

I would like it to fix eggs and grits every other morning...oatmeal and toast on odd days.
I would like my bed made and clothes put in the hamper--in colder months, I'd like my car started and warmed up.
Clothes washed, pressed, and folded or hung as appropriate, by automatic download.
I'd like my dinner on the table at 6 every evening...sharp.
I'd like it to think for me...it can do that, can't it?
Yes, please. [:)]

@Richard - I know you said this was workflow suggestions, which is why I left this out.
I do think that Logos has to figure out the balance of all of these things. Personally I'd give up everything on this list and some of the current functionality to get Highlighting/Notes working since those are critical for me in my study workflow. If you are talking workflow in terms of integrating the mobile product into my sermon prep workflow then I guess notes/highlighting are critical enhancements for me.

1. Favorites would open the resource, not the last place the resource was used. This is critical for Bibles, when I change from one version to another. I would like it to function somewhat like a parallel resource. If you are opening another Bible in the window, open the new Bible to the same place as the old Bible. If you are opening a dictionary or lexicon, open to the same article in the new resource.
2. Zoom/pinch sizing and drag scrolling. This is critical for resources with maps and charts. It would also be very important to be able to enlarge the Bible Word Study to get a closer view of the translation domain circle.
3. Fix the Greek/Hebrew fonts in various pop-ups, such as when you tap and hold on a word.. The characters with accents and diacritical marks are missing or in the wrong place. Since they display correctly in the book itself, it is surprising that they do not display correctly in the pop-up windows.
4. Highlighting is critical for a reading app. I would have thought of this as one of the first things to be incorporated in the mobile app. If I am going to use my tablet as a reader, I must have highlighting. It is even more shocking for Vyrsio, given that this is a reader app.
5. It is great to have offline searching, but the speed of offline searching is horrible. I realize indexes take up valuable space and the offline search is probably sequential rather than indexed. But searching is ridiculously slow compared to other Bible apps 35 seconds compared to less than 1 second in Olivetree Bible Reader). Give an option on the Information window to index the resource for faster offline searches or index only the resources that are downloaded.
6. I think the Parallel Resource selector for Bibles is a great idea. But this is simply too awkward to use in its present form. Either list the books alphabetically or list the prioritized resources first or list the most recently used resources first. It lists near the top a lot of books I have never used and the list includes books that I did not purchased, such as foreign language Bibles in languages I will never use. It would be great if you could select a Collection for this or have the option to limit it to the Prioritized resources or only the top X most recently used resources. It would also be great if this worked for other types of resources, such as Bibles dictionaries and lexicons (right now it brings up the entire library).
7. When go to Library browser, remember the previously entered text.
8. Add an X to delete the entire text already entered when jumping to a new Bible passage or article in a book. This should also be on search dialog and the Library browser. This is pretty standard for other apps.
9. Option for continuous vertical scrolling as well as the current page turns. I find this very useful in another Bible app I use. I just drag it along as I am reading or when I want to quickly look at the context.
10. Option to synchronize location in resource with computers and other mobile devices. I don't want to sync, since I usually use my mobile device to read something different than what I am working on with the desktop app. I also use Vyrso as a way to open 2 additional resources and work around the 2 window limit of the Logos app. So sometimes I want to open Vyrso to a different place in the Bible than the Logos app. But I know a lot of people like the syncing, so the option should be there to sync location between devices.
11. The book selector buttons are too small on my 7 inch tablet. I have lots of screen space that is going unused for this. It is too easy to make a mistake and the small size makes it slower to pick to pick the book or chapter I want.

for the future, I'm particularly looking forward to having the app read out logos books - ie text to speech.
This is helpful when commuting and would make me buy more logos/ vyrso than kindle books

I like most of the enchancements recommeneded on this page. My addition would be:
1) More font size granularity. I found I can only use two adjacent font sizes. The rest are too big or too small... There are about 10 sizes (I believe) Roughly 4 are too small and roughly 4 are too large.
Thanks,
Matt

I agree with John's suggestion! I love using Logos on my Windows 7 laptop for personal Bible Study. I recently purchased a Google Nexus 7 tablet with Android 4.1. Based on the features list on Logos' Android download page, I thought Highlighting and Notes would work on it, too. I haven't been able to find it, though, and another post in the forum makes it sound like it's a feature "still in progress." I'm so disappointed! I see that John's suggestion, though, was posted two months ago, so if Highlighting and/or Notes are now available on the Nexus 7, I'd appreciate it if someone would tell me how to activate them. Thanks!

I would like text to speech options and the ability to change fonts, at least one sans-serif. Thanks.

Welcome to the forums Theresa. Long press a word and then drag to highlight. When you long press a word you get the option to several things.
1. Copy
2. Info: Word study
3. Search
4. Create a note
5. Highlight
6. Remove Annotations
7. Share

Please accept my apologies if I'm not posting this correctly.
I am using my android tablet all the time now that Logos has included the ability to copy and paste material into my notes. One of the things that would be very helpful would be the option to copy verses to the clipboard that include header information such as the "Share" option. As "copy" functions now, I have to add verses and references manually.
Could we have another option within "Share" such as "Share to Clipboard" that would include this additional information?
Thanks for continually updating an already terrific product!

It would also be nice to have shorter text in short cuts so that the pane on the left that appears showing the list of short cuts would include enough information for me to know what it is. As it stands now the only text I can see for a commentary is the name of the series which does not let me know which book of the Bible it concerns.
For example, in my current list of short cuts the first entry reads "Baker Exegetical Commentary on"
If nothing else, it would be nice to have the option of modifying the name of the short cut.
Thanks again for a remarkable and very useful product.

I came because I wanted to mention I'd like to see some different navigation options, and noticed this thread at the top. Guess it was time to post my suggestions.
Having said that, I would love to see some different options for navigating books and bibles. I'd like to able to maybe scroll a whole chapter, or at least be able to touch different parts of the screen to navigate backwards/forwards to next/previous verse/passage/chapter. Page only navigating is frustrating.

1. Have highlights show in all Bibles. Other mobile Bible programs do this. I have dual-panes with the Reina-Valera 1960 and King James open. Most of my reading is done with the RVR60 so that's the one i put highlights in. It'd be great if the same passages were highlighted in the KJV.
2. Be able to see only downloaded resources. I typically only use and switch between downloaded resources and it seems silly to not have the option to have only those show up in the library.
That's it! :-)

1. Ability to define filters, and use filters defined on the desktop
2. Greek interlinear

if you use the string "local:" in your library search box you will just see resources that you have downloaded (note the ":" after "local")

Thanks, Graham. I did see that in another thread. Not exactly obvious, but it gets the job done! [:D]

enabling text- to -speech for the logos android app would greatly increse it's fnctionality - we could continue our study while commuting when it isn't convenient to hold the phone up to read etc

Spend some time reading on Logos for Kindle fire (more or less android if I understand right) and some time reading on the native Kindle reader. Kindle i just better in a dozen subtle ways.
