A Thought on Logos 4 & PBB Books

In solving another problem I was having with Libronix/Logos3 I was asked by the Customer Service person, "Why still use Libronix?" For me it is because of the PBB books that I want access to.

I suggested, since making PBB work in Logos 4 is not viable, HOW ABOUT a program to convert a PBB book to *docx files. We could then take it from there and use the new features for self-publishing in Logos 4 to bring over our PBB books. This idea "tickled" the ear of the Service person.

Could this be possible??

It would be possible but I wouldn't want the PB's I made converted by anyone other than myself. I do, in fact, have some of them converted but I have not published them under the files forum by personal choice.

Honestly? Wow. CS should occasionally read the forums. I know I have listed many reasons on numerous occasions, and others have as well.

One big reason might be they don't know how to deliver licenses for books usable on Libronix. Now the credit card scripts work great! (And hopefully the refund script today will work great too.)

My understanding is that books developed from docx files do not have to go beyond one's own personal use on your own computer.

Unfortunately there were some things that the "old" pbb's did well that can't be done in the new ones. For example, MJ had a wonderful set of creeds with some linking between them. Unfortunately, the new system assigns a new resource ID whenever compiled and does not yet allow sharing of the compiled files, from what I understand.
