I tried signing in and out and even re-installing he app but there is no download button for the Bible themselves. I can download commentaries and study notepad books but there is no download button when I go to information or in the library view click the right arrow. Server problem? I tried at home and work.

Which bibles? I tried a sample of English bibles and they were OK to download.

I experienced the same problem yesterday. Check the contents of your library; I suspect you're not actually signed-in.  I had to delete my cache and sign-in again, then the download button appeared in the resource info.

None of the five or six I tried, English as well as Greek/Hebrew.

I experienced the same problem yesterday. Check the contents of your library; I suspect you're not actually signed-in.  I had to delete my cache and sign-in again, then the download button appeared in the resource info.

I checked and I was signed in, but the library was acting strange. I did another full uninstall/reinstall (to accomplish the clearing of cache, since manually doing it via Applications > manage applications in Android 2.2 didn't seem to work).  Then I signed in again, waiting for the Library to refresh, and then finally it worked again.

I do have Market access on my device, and it's pretty standard Android 2.2, so it's not because I'm using some built-in-a-garage generic Android device.

Let me put in another plug for letting us select multiple resources for download in the background in case these kinds of hiccups happen again - I had only downloaded a few things so it wasn't that painful, but if I had downloaded dozens of resources...it would have been a little different story. [:)]

Thanks for the input, it is working now.

I cannot reproduce this issue on my devices.

If you see this error again, navigate to the Android Market and download an app (it's free!) called CatLog. This allows us to pull some log files from the device.

Once CatLog is installed, try to reproduce that issue. Once the download fails, open CatLog, press the Menu button on your device and then select Send. Email that log as an attachment to yourself.

Please then attach that file to this thread.

    Thanks,

Please help someone.  I can download to my adroid phone almost everything except several key resources (NASB 95, ESV, and Russian Bible).  Not sure why but the download option does not show up for those.  Any ideas the tech support has not been able to help.

    Thanks,

Do you own them and do you see them in Biblia as well as desktop Logos?

Is there enough space on your device SD card?

What device do you have, what version of Android and which mobile app (Bible, Vyrso..)?

Yes I do own them and they appear in desktop logos.  They show up as viable books that I own when I am running logos on my android (4.0.3) HTC Desire C phone.

Yes plenty of space on the SD card. In fact I can download many other resources just not those Bible versions.

The mobile app that I downloaded has the blue logos symbol verson 2.1.2 (build 57).

    I ran the app info program and lists as follows:  storage: total 1.17gb, app 4.98 mb, usb storage app 17.31 mb, storage 1.14 gb, (all on the SD card) - these were all on the internal storage and I moved them to external just now.;

I cleared cache and is now:

I do not have Biblia or Vyrso apps on this phone.

I am an experienced Android user and I too am having this very problem since updating my phone yesterday to a Samsung Galaxy S3 4G 16 GB of internal memory and 32 GB micro SD Card [previous phone was a HTC Desire S with same 32 GB micro SD card]. I have plenty of room on the phone. I have performed a fresh install of the very latest Android version, but when it comes to downloading certain books like the Summarised Bible, the ESV, NASB, NKJV, NLT, etc. [all of which I own] there is simply no download option for them. I have downloaded commentaries, dictionaries, encyclopedias, etc. but I cannot download the chief Bible versions that I own and wish to use. I live in Australia. Any ideas why this is happening?

  • I concur, I've had the same issues downloading resources, and yes I own ESV, NKJV, etc.  The Download button will not appear.  After multiple installations I gave up.  I've had this problem with both my Nexus 7 and my Galaxy S2.

Don't know if this means anything, but I downloaded both Faithlife and Logos to my Nexus and S2.  On each device, one of those packages allowed me to download all the resources I wanted, but not both packages.  So on my Nexus I use Faithlife and on my S2 I use Logos.

I have downloaded the ESV (in Melbourne!)  and can download the other bibles you mention to my Galaxy S  (Android 2.3) using the latest 2.1.2 Bible app.

We all need to hear from Logos tech.
