Error: Preferred Bible changing on its own

iPad 64GB Wi-Fi; latest version of Logos app.

This morning my preferred Bible has changed on its own at least 3 times. I use Carson's "For the Love of God" as a reading plan. I noticed this morning that the text of the daily passages looked different, and I saw that the open resource was NIV 1984. My preferred Bible has always been ESV, since I installed the app. I've done nothing on purpose to change that, and I'm 99.9% sure I've done nothing accidental that might have changed it.

I killed the app and re-opened it, navigated to a passage from Carson, and it was still NIV. I went into settings and changed preferred Bible to ESV. When I went back to Carson and selected the next passage, the ESV came up. Using a two-finger swipe, I returned to Carson. When I navigated to the next passage, it came up in NIV; and in "Settings" my preferred Bible had changed to NIV. I've repeated this 2 more times.

Help!!! ;)

Thanks,

Donnie

Hi Donnie, Alabama seems to be out the house right now :-)  I'm sure he could offer more help than I, but I would start by making sure none of my desktops or laptops have NIV prioritized or even open.  Everything seems to sync nowdays.  If it isn't a sync problem then perhaps Bama can offer advice when he returns.

Thanks, Jerry. I can't check my desktop right now. It's running but was just started and should be on the Home screen. I have noticed that my Android phone was also set to NIV. While I can see how/where to change it on that phone, I can't figure out how to "save" that setting change. I go to that settings screen and change it to ESV. But there's no "save" button that I can see, and the only way I can find to get out of that screen is to hit the physical "back" button. Unfortunately, that seems to be acting like "Cancel" - if I go immediately back into the settings screen, it's back to "NIV".

    :(

Hey now… even the dog gets let out at least once a day. [:D]

I don't know what to tell you Donnie, but I seem to be having troubles with this now too. I am running a beta version of the app… I am not sure what the matter is. I have never selected the NKJV as my "preferred" bible (except perhaps to test things out for other users), but my iPad has reset to the NKJV twice. [:S]

I don't have Beta but have experienced that also. My Czech Bible switched to NIV. Repeatedly.

    Hi Donnie,

Some server code was pushed last night that appears to have caused this issue.  The team is working on it now.  Thanks for the report!

It happened this morning. I didn't have time to post about it at the time, and it has since corrected itself. Known issue?
