Nexus 7 memory
I may have an opportunity to get a Nexus 7. There's talk of one with 32GB memory coming out soon. Would that make much difference with the Logos app or is it mostly for stored documents, images and music.
Also how much parity with the Apple app is in the Logos Android application?

I think the 16GB Nexus is fine for L4Android today. In my use case, I'm usually around WiFi, so I only download primary resources--it is nothing like the multiple Gigs L4Win takes up.
However, I imagine that Logos could change things. I have massive amounts of highlighting, and performance and completeness of highlighting on L4Android is not good right now. One way to fix that would be for Logos to pre-cache the full Notes files onto the mobile device...and that would usher in the larger use of storage. However, technology is moving so fast in this sector that the "obsolescence" curve is more like 7 months than 18 months (i.e., within that timespan, you will no longer be leading edge, and you will have to begin considering legacy compatibility issues with new hardware and software). So, take the plunge with a 16GB device, enjoy it thoroughly, and then in about a year give it to a needy soul and buy the next great thing

I'm mostly thinking that a tablet is a glorified reader. I don't really expect to write much on it. Might be a real first excuse to finally use Evernote. My buy or not has enough time to see if a 32GB becomes available, but I'm not worrying about it.
Anyone else know about parity with iOS Logos. If the iPad Mini hits next week, I might be tossing a coin, but Android will probably win out dollarwise.

Text is tiny. You'll have plenty of space, even with an 8 gig Nexus 7, unless you put music, movies, and photos on it.

Michael, I would wait at least until October 29 Google announcement. Rumor is that a 32GB Nexus 7 is to be a part of the announcement. Like I said, it is rumor, but it's worth waiting 10 days to see. That's what I'm doing.

Right Bill, I came across the announcement last night. The thought is that Google is most likely to drop the price on the 16GB model and sell the 32GB for $249. This would make a giant incentive for people who haven't yet gotten into the tablet market.
Second thoughts: we could miss this completely if Google does something no one has thought about. Game changing is always possible and Google likes to do it.

Well the not so surprising makes a Nexus 7 with 32GB for the same money as of today. Now there's a carrot before us for the new 10 inch model which isn't available just yet.
I have the option of getting a 10 inch. Forgetting the delay, my thought is the 7 inch is a much better reader oriented format. Anyone else agree?

I agree. The 10" is probably better if you're attempting to replace a laptop, but I don't think Android is quite there yet. I have the Nexus 7 (8GB) and it's a great size, I can hold it in one hand while reading for a long time without any wrist strain at all.
