Unknown error opening resource
Just received my new Nexus 7 16gb yesterday, put Logos on it, and all was working well. I used the ESV and the NLT (this year's reading plan), downloading them both onto the device.
Today, everytime I try to use my preferred ESV, or the NLT, or even the NASB 95 or the NIV, I'm getting nothing besides "An unknown error occurred opening resource." It doesn' seem to matter if the Bible is downloaded or not, as the ESV and NLT are on the Nexus, and the NIV and NASB are not. Darby comes through fine, as does BHS and NA27 and many others. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Logos.
Anyone have any ideas? Everything seems to be working fine with my desktop computer and Logos. Is there something with the Nexus that I'm not understanding? It really DID work yesterday .

I'm having the same issue, and I have a HTC Sensation. I've tried restarting, but nothing.

I'm getting the same error message this morning. I use a Samsung Galaxy S2. I even tried downloading the NASB95 to the phone but it still won't open.

I'm unable to reproduce it on my Nexus 7, Running Bible 2.2.2 (Build 59).

Mine is version 2.1.2 (Build 57). How do I update this?

2.2.2 is a beta version with all the caveats that go with betas (unsupported, may crash often, trash your data, etc.). However, I've found it quite stable. The announcement is pinned at the top of this forum ( http://community.logos.com/forums/t/57402.aspx ). On your Andriod device, navigate to the link given in that post to download the beta.
I'm not at all sure, but I don't think this problem is related to the version of the app you're using though. It may be related to the maintenance going on this morning.

2.2.3 has just shipped to the beta and stable channels and should be available soon via Google Play and available tomorrow via Amazon Appstore. I'll be posting an announcement shortly.

I'm on 2.1.2 as well and saw in the news that there was a version update to the NIV and it prompted me to download, at which point I started having this problem too. Deleted the resource and it still shows the same error. Tried the ESV and it has the same error. Other books seem to work fine.
If I can find an older release version, I'd prefer to go back rather than forward, because I'm also annoyed by the removal of the home screen where I could choose from things like daily devotionals and other stuff. If I just wanted a book reader that always opened to the current book I'm on, I'd just be using my Nook to read a Bible translation instead. 2.1.2 was a major step backward even though it added some new features, IMHO.

I also had the prompt to update NIV, NASB95, NLT this morning. Clicked on update, and have not been able to use any of them or the esv since. I have cleared the data, and the cache, removed the resources, downloaded again, and nothing has helped. Even restarted nexus 7 by holding the power button.

Same here, Mike, with 2.2.3. Look like we're good to go now. Thanks for the help.
