Going straight to my Bible
This is probably a very basic question with a simple answer, but how do I simply open up my Logos on my iPad and go quickly to my ESV Bible? I find that I am using the Crossway app most of the time for quick Bible reference because Logos seems so difficult to get to the Bible.

Hi Roger
If you close the application with the ESV open does it not reopen with the ESV still there.
The iPad way is to assume that you want to go back to the application where you last left it.

Okay, so you are saying that in order to get to the Bible quickly, I must make sure the Bible is open when I close the application? Is that the only way? I was hoping there would be a feature on the right menu that would simply allow me to click my main Bible.
Thanks!

I have one more question, so I'll just add it to this thread. On my Mac and PC, when I open my ESV Bible, I can click the Display button and have the Reverse Interlinear display with the Bible text. Is that possible on the iPad?
Thanks.

I don't think so.
But, if you hold your finger on a word and look it up the the information should be there.

Hi Roger
No these isn't a button that allows you to open your preferred Bible with one click.
One option would be to have the "quarter pane" at the top right of the screen open with the "Go" panel. Then you can just type a reference into that, and your preferred Bible will open.
Or you could "Rate" your preferred Bible with five stars and have your Library sorted by Rating. That would then have your Bible at the top of the Library display (assuming no other resources had the same rating) and you could then just click on that.
Or you could tag your preferred Bible and type the tag into the Library find field which would only find resources marked with that tag.
Don't know if any of these approaches are useful to you

Your app will open up where it left off. The fastest way to always open to your bible is, of course, to leave your bible open. Something else to think about: The app has two reading panels. You could leave one open to your bible at all times. Even if you were reading something else, all you would have to do is use the slide to reveal your bible.

The mobile app does not have a special visual filter to allow your RI to be shown. You could, of course, open an interlinear translation of your text.

What about favorites? Add it as favorite. Then when you open the app, Swipe down, touch the star, and select your bible.

Don't quite follow - can you expand on your steps please?

I have a method that uses an app called Launch Center and urls that Logos uses. See this post I put up today:

One thing I didn't see mentioned in this thread is the "Settings" for the Logos Bible app. If you go to the iPad settings screen, near the bottom on the left are app-specific settings. Logos Bible has a setting as to whether it should open to the Home screen in the app. I believe this defaults to "Off" - it's "Off" for me, and I've never set / changed it.
So if someone is starting the app and it doesn't go straight to the last resource that was being viewed, that setting might be set to "On".

The setting isn't designed to change what is shown at startup - either way it should still show what was last open.
This setting is just for troubleshooting issues relating to resource related crashes at startup - see discussion at http://community.logos.com/forums/t/54498.aspx for more details
