Probably not real high on the triage list, but I actually use the the Word Find Puzzle for kids in my congregation and found that the the longer words are cut short. I attached a PDF example.

Works for me, I used same passage and went large /extra large

I have been able to reproduce this on Mac. It appears to only occur occasionally.
There is currently an open case for this issue. I have added a link to this thread to that case.
I briefly look at the word find puzzle and wasnt sure what to do. It was blank, am I supposed to add words somehow?
I was just playing with this also and can confirm this in L5. Cuts the ends of the words of in the word lists.

Forgot to say I am using L5 for Mac. Running OS 10.8.2
You need to enter a reference into the textbox. This will create the puzzle.
Your question drew my attention to the fact that we do not have any hint text in this text box on Mac. I will pass this issue on to Development.
The issue of hint text missing the Word Find Puzzle panel will be fixed in 5.0a Beta 1 for beta users, and in general when 5.0a ships to the stable channel.
