Tags and Resource Updates
I am hoping that I am doing something wrong and this can be easily rectified.
I have begun using tags to try and group resources together that I want to use often and want downloaded on my IOS devices. I have really just been in test mode and so far only have two tags in use. The first is "iPhone" which has my 14 most used resources that I use a lot on both the iPhone and iPad. The other, "iPad", is about 250 resources that would be used mostly on the iPad.
I noticed this morning that when I filter on "iPhone" on both devices that I now only have 7 of the 14 resources. I checked on the Mac (still in L4), and found that my iPhone tag is still associated with all 14 resources. Now what is interesting is that I just had 7 resources with updates in the last few days. I don't know for sure, but I suspect that the resources that were updated are the ones that are no longer associated with the tag on the IOS devices. I do know that 3 of the seven where updated because I remember them in the list: NASB, NIV, NIV84.
At suggestions?
Thanks, Mike.

Just to double check… Are you sure that the resources tagged with iPhone or iPad are mobile enabled? Can you find the "tagged" resources in your mobile library by name? If so, can you give screen shots of the "tagged" resources info panel from the mobile app?
What version of the app & desktop app are you running?

Yep. I'm sure. All 14 resources showed up on both the iPhone and iPad before.
He is the screen shot of one of the additional 7 resources that shows the iPhone tag in the info window and one of the 7 "iPhone" resources that show in the iPad library.
IOS version is 3.0.3.1585.
I am not by the Mac right now, but it is the recently released RC (not beta) version that was distributed a couple of days ago.
Thanks!

Sorry Alabama, I obviously don't know how to get screen shots into a post from the iPad. Let's see if I can make it work better here!
First my Mac version is 4.6a SR-2 (4.61.0.3360).
Here are the screen shots, including one of the desktop library with the 14 resources.

Thanks for the screen shots. They really help. [:)]
Notice in your third screen shot, the NASB DOES have the iPhone tag applied. You can see it under the book cover. I know that there has been bugs previously with sorting under different sort criteria… Have you tried sort by "title" or "recent"? That will help us to see if it is a bug. (It seems like it is).

Thanks Alabama.
Yes, indeed, the tags are still there for all of the other 7 resources that no longer show. This is true on both the iPhone and iPad. I tried all available sorts and views on both devices and still only see the 7 resources that were not updated. I also removed the NASB from the phone to see if it would show in the list. It dd not. I then downloaded it again to see if that would make a difference and that didn't change anything either.
I went ahead and deleted the app and re-loaded it on the iPhone. After logging in I can find 11 of the 14 resources by typing in the tag. I spot checked two of the three missing resources and they show the tag in the info window. Obviously, even if this had worked it wouldn't be a viable solution to delete the app and reload resources every time one is updated.
Any other suggestions?

Any other suggestions?
I will experiment a little this morning… I am a bit perplexed! It might be helpful for you to create a new thread with the prefix BUG: (It's more likely to be seen quickly by Logos). If you do so, please mention the steps you took to trouble shoot and provide a link to this thread.

I'm unable to repeat this behavior in the office. I loaded your licenses to an iPad and see your 14 "iphone" tagged resources, and 257 "ipad" tagged resources. Further down the thread you said it went from 7 to 11 (of the 14) that were showing up. What ones are still not showing up?
ow what is interesting is that I just had 7 resources with updates in the last few days. I don't know for sure, but I suspect that the resources that were updated are the ones that are no longer associated with the tag on the IOS devices.
Were the updates in Logos 4? You can sort your library by last updated. Can you do that and see if they correspond with the tagged resources that are and are not missing? Also, can you give us the date you installed the update and post your Logs folder? You can find it by going the "gear" icon and "Help", and then "Send Support info" it attaches the log file to an email and you can send it to yourself or just send it to where it naturally wants to go. Just let me know when you do and I'll fetch it.

Hi Tommy,
Just to be clear - All 14 were working fine on both the iPhone and iPad. When the resources went missing on the IOS devices, they stopped showing in the library list when I typed the tag in the search field, but they are still there if I search by the name. I noticed the change after a resource update on both IOS devices, but I don't know for sure that all of the resources that were updated are the ones that went missing.
The change from 7 to 11 came when I deleted the Logos app from my iPhone, and re-installed. I expected all 14 to be back but only see 11. The three that are still missing are NIV, Septuagint Version of the Old Testament, and the Apologetics Study Bible (which was one of the 7 that were there after it went from 14 to 7). All of those are on the iPhone when I search by the name and they have the iPhone tag when I touch info.
I have not re-installed the software on my iPad so it still shows the 7 out of 14 in the earlier post.
A couple of other notes - I just checked and of the resources that I have tagged with iPad my library in L4 shows 259. You found 257. My iPhone shows 254. My iPad shows 253.
The resource updates that I mentioned were all in IOS. I did look in L4 and the most recent update to a resource with an iPhone tag was in August which is before I added these tags.
I sent you logs from both the iPhone and iPad. I will try to post my logs from L4 later this evening.
Thanks!
I just looked at my L4 logs and I'm not sure what I would send you. There are no recent crash or error logs. Please let me know if there is anything else from the Mac that I can provide!

Bump
I am still experiencing strange behavior with these tags. The iPad tag is now down to showing 220 resources instead of 259.
BTW - I am now on L5 on the Mac and there is no noticeable impact for this issue.
Thanks!
