Just curious about what happened to the handouts in L5. Is this feature available in the PC side and not the Mac like L4? Not complaining... just asking.
Logos was unhappy with the handout feature and it is depreciated (phased out). I believe that it is a hidden feature for windows users.

They were so unhappy it is deprecated, not merely depreciated[:D]
Did someone say handouts? Oh. Right. I'll behave myself.
(Inside joke, I was a ferocious critic of the tool from the very first) [:p]
In Windows, it is under the "Documents" drop down menu. It's still here. [:)]

It was mentioned that Handouts would only appear if you had a Handout document in L4 (Windows).

You can "unhide" it with a command. I'm not sure what the command is. I am quite happy to leave it hidden.
It probably would have been better for Logos to just leave it where it was, unless there were issues with it. I played around with it for a little while but didn't have any continuous use for it.

One more step in parity between Mac and Windows version?[:P] This and 3D views were the only reason I ever booted windows (and a cheap third party app takes care of 3D views much better than Logos} [:)] Looks like the end of PC envy for one Mac user.

All I can say is that if you or anyone else was envious of PC users because they had access to Handouts, you are a sad soul or (more likely) terribly misinformed. Consider yourself blessed, my friend. (Tongue in cheek.)
I used it to make devotionals for shut-ins. I guess it is cut and paste. Oh well. No biggie.

If you used to have it you should still have it in L5.
"Create handout"

Sorry, that was a joke. I agree with Mr. Black on handouts. Handouts and 3D view were Fluff features that looked nice but weren't really useful for a lot of us. Typing "Create handout" in the command box still works on the windows side for those that actually used this feature.[:)].
Quite useful for Small Group studies once you get familiar with their limitations.
Glad they are still available in L5.

I should add this:
Despite the fact that I have roasted the handouts from time to time, it was never for dislike of them. I have always desired and still desire for many improvements. Some of them have been done in the intervening years.
I still use handouts.
I use them for classes, and other points in time when they fit the need.
But with the quite useful copy, paste, and footnoting of resources in my word processor - I have made more than one handout that way as well.

In this case, the Mac version is far ahead of the Win version—We never had to deal with that … (Behave yourself, Jack) [:D]
Jack,
Given the harsh and somewhat unChristian comments of a number of responses on the Logos 5 forum in recent days it is always good to see your positive, helpful and good-humoured contributions. Keep it up!
Thanks
Andrew
Thank you
I would like the ability to hide/un-hide any command. There are some I don't use and I like clean menus.
