i was thinking of getting a kindle or something like it.

my question here is this device considered a mobile device?

i question this because i couldn't read a book on my android, and found this out...(* Not all resources are available on mobile devices due to license restrictions from the publishers.)    if this is true, i may not buy the device :(

You can't read Logos books on a normal kindle (only a Kindle Fire). But the same restrictions apply to the Fire as to Android. If it's not available for Android, it won't be available for the Fire.

My experience (I use the iPad) many of my books have been available. They also continue to get permission for more. Brill just made several resources available.

It got dropped when they updated the website.  They are going to work to bring it back:

Many books sold by Logos are also available as Kindle eBooks at Amazon.  License restrictions may limit one version of the resource but not the other version.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HD is NOT a telephone but is rather a tablet.  It runs Android Apps like Logos but also reads Kindle eBooks.

You will have to check each resource which interests you to see if the Logos version has a restriction on Android use and then check the Kindle Bookstore to see if the same book is available for Kindles.

On my Kindle Fire HD 7" 32 Gb I constantly jump between Logos, other eBooks and other Apps.  It is easy to do this since your place in each resource is saved so jumping back and forth is rapid and easy.  It has a "Favorite Star" available within all Apps and eBooks which enable rapid jumping back and forth.

It also has the ability to copy to the clipboard from an App and / or eBook and then paste into a note in another App and / or eBook by using a long hold in the text entry box in the target.
