Anyone know of and app for the MAC that does what Instaverse does for the PC? I really loved that app but since moving to a MAC I cannot find anything like it.
Wondering if have tried Logos Bible Widget => http://www.logosbiblewidget.com/ ?
Also, in Logos 4 Mac, can hover mouse over reference for pop-up (uses Bible version priority).
Likewise, Logos web site Biblia. com has verse pop-ups.

Cliff, I know what you are saying. I love being able to type a bible reference in Word, press Alt+f8 and it automatically puts the verses in the word processor. I cannot find a compatible app on my mac. Have you found anything? I can't get Logos to do that, Maybe I don't know how. I hope you have something. thanks! Ron
Logos 4 Mac has a Text Service with Keyboard shortcut => Mac help for Logos so can enter verse reference, optionally using abbreviation => http://www.logos.com/L4/support/biblebookabbrev (with period between chapter and verse: e.g. php4.4) , highlight verse reference, press cmd + shift + E keyboard shortcut to replace reference with passage (from Logos 4 Mac).
Option: can double click keyboard shortcut cmd + shift + E to change (in System Preferences => Keyboard => Keyboard Shortcuts - Services - Text)

Instaverse is still out there, still letting you see a verse by merely mousing over its reference, but still only for PCs. I sent the originators of instaverse (WORDsearch) a request years go that they recreate this remarkable program for MAC because it seemed Logos would never get around to, what should be, an obvious avenue for them. Alas, Logos still doesn't have the vision and WORDsearch doesn't have the interest. Rats.
I'm with you Gordon, I have desired this for years. Now Instaverse doesn't work on Windows either. If there's anyone who knows of a similar product or can develop one (for Mac please), please post about it here! Thanks

Thankful for many Logos improvements on Mac and Windows since 2011. Within Logos and Verbum, hovering over a reference has Bible pop-up from highest prioritised resource with Bible verse. The reference can be in Logos, Verbum, Vyrso, Noet, & Personal Book resources plus Notes and Clippings.
For editing on Mac, can use Text Service with keyboard shortcut to replace selected reference with passage.
Curious about "Instaverse" like usage ? in what application(s) ? Screen shot illustration(s) would be helpful to understand pop-up desire.
Thanks for the reply - the thing about InstaVerse is that it would work everywhere not just in the context of Logos app. It would work on an internet page, but, most importantly it would work in Microsoft Word. Logos used to work in Word through SmartTags to do replacement for Bible verse references but now it does not, it forces you to work in app only. Logos is a massive program to keep open all the time and it's just not as convenient as a light app that works in almost every context (or used to anyway). I don't think it would be hard to create something like this I just don't know how and have a few other things on my plate :-) But to an enterprising developer it might be a good app to develop.

Personally have Logos open nearly all the time, which allows Text service on Mac to replace reference with passage in text editing applications.
Caveat: knowing Logos is resource intensive has influenced hardware purchases. Thankful Logos 7 works decently on a 2011 MacBook Air with 4 GB Ram and 1.7 GHz Intel Core i5 (albeit am using 128 GB USB drive for resources folder since 120 GB internal SSD does not have enough storage space).
If have internet access, then app development using RefTagger (by Faithlife) is a possibility for Bible Verse Pop-up. Logos forum => RefTagger discusses web page pop-ups.
Thanks Smiling, I did a little googling and realized I can enable a text service on my Mac to make this work for me. It's not instaverse but it's a huge improvement. I didn't realize this, so, thanks for your reply!
