Someone asked me if Logos 5 was worth the investment. For anyone interested I have posted THIS response on my blog!
My favorite Logos feature is visual filter highlighting; wiki has => http://wiki.logos.com/Extended_Tips_for_Highlighting_and_Visual_Filters#Examples_of_visual_filters
Thankful for many friendly forum discussions about using Logos Bible Software; have learned a lot plus have a lot to learn.
On OS X 10.8.2, Thankful for Logos 5 full screen.
Caution: Logos library building can be a bit addictive; buying bigger bundles is a better deal. Including free resources, my Logos library averages $ 1.81 per resource.
Investment worth depends on use. Logos has a learning curve for effective use; wiki has => http://wiki.logos.com/Getting_Started_with_Logos that has Logos 4 learning, which is useful for Logos 5.

KS4J, if per chance you leave this world before the Lord's arrival, I fully recommend a marker that can accomodate visual filters. I can't believe how talented you are with it!
Curious about marker desires ?
Personally wish for way to share Highlighting Palettes and Visual Filters.
My observation is that Logos 5 is a premium niche product that is priced to represent it's market position and domination. There is nothing spiritual about selling electronic code for thousands of dollars to, on ocassion, people who can barely afford gas for school. On the other side it is well supported by a crack technical and customer staff that seems to really know the product. Is it worth the price? Well is a BMW worth the price?
All true... good comparison: L5:BMW... at least I could drive the BMW.... (which I ALSO don't have)

The Documents web site has a list of Supported Types: Notes, Reading Plans, Prayer Lists, Clippings, Syntax Searches (more coming soon!)
Highlighting Palettes and Visual Filters are not yet supported.

[Y] That would be great. I'm excited about the possibilities of documents.logos.com... and after visual filters, maybe we will see Personal Book sharing too.
Great post. Yes, Logos is worth every dime.
KS4J, in the pic that the link above shows one sees an ability to somehow add text to resources...apparently through visual markup. I'm referring to the various referrences to the Herods. Can you explain how this is done? Or point me to the place in the wiki that explains how? Thanks.

Thread => Visual Filter for Herod has a discussion about visual filters for Herods.
