re adding to collections

Hi. I own 37 out of the 40 New American Commentary series. Is there anyway that the system can calculate which ones I already have and add those to my basket or do I manually have to look through all 37 and compare to the 40?

Are you asking this in the context of upgrading to L5 or as a general purchase?
If an L5 upgrade, and if choosing a package which includes NAC, then the cost of your existing ones will be factored into your upgrade price. So, not what you were asking for but a different approach.
If a general purchase then I don't think you can do this - but it sounds like a great idea.
Suggest you post this in the Logos.com website forum - or add a suggestion to uservoice as outlined in http://community.logos.com/forums/t/59323.aspx

This link should show you ones you don't have: http://www.logos.com/products/search?q=%22new+american+commentary%22&unlocked=no

Try this link:
http://www.logos.com/products/search?Series+%2f+Sets=New+American+Commentary+%28NAC%29&unlocked=no
"If you want to filter out the items that you already have, you can by adding &unlocked=no or &unlocked=yes to the end of your search URL. As long as you are signed in to your account, it will filter your search result by items you already own." -- Info taken from an old blog post: http://blog.logos.com/2010/12/get_the_books_you_want_at_50_off/
Someday Logos will add the "unlocked" search option to the webpage UI. I'm not holding my breath though.

I don't blame you. I have to figure it out each time I need to use it.
