Thoroughly confused on whether to upgrade - chart not working (I think)
Here's my dilemma.
I am looking at the "Custom Upgrade Discount" page for my account, trying to figure out whether I should upgrade, or just cross-grade to the new engine/data set later on. However, I'm finding some strange things on the comparison charts between the Diamond and the Portfolio (I'm looking under "New to you." .
For instance, it is saying that in the Diamond package, The Nestle-Aland 28th edition is new to me. However, in the Portfolio package, it is grayed out, as if it was not new to me under that package. The same is true for the Sahidic Coptic Collection., and a number of other texts, books, etc.
How can something be "New To Me" in the Diamond collection, but not new to me in the Portfolio collection?
I must be reading the chart incorrectly - but this is how I'm taking it.
1. No dot = resource not in that collection
2. Grey dot = resource in collection, but not new to me.
3. Black dot = resource in collection and new to me.
Again, I'm under the "New to you" tab, and do not have "all" or "new to 5" selected.
Help?

Are you always clicking on the right column heading and selecting the 'New to You' view choice?

I agree it is confusing because there is a bug where the Black dot ends up showing up incorrectly. The "New to 5" dot, "New to me" dot and the grey dots showing which packages contain those resources are correct.
For now ignore the black dots you see until the bug gets fixed.
1) Resources that are "New to 5"
2) Resources that are "New to you"
3) Resources that are in that package, a gray dot.
4) The resource is not in this package, no gray dot.We're hoping to get the black dots to show up correctly soon.

Yes as Mark says. Click on the text below the 3 "New to you" to only see things that are new to you.
You can also click the text under 2 "New to 5" to see only resources new to Logos 5, and click the text "All under the 1 to see them all again.

I was originally baffled by what differences showed up in the new packages. Not that I couldn't get to them, but the implementation of the chart was sort of like a light bulb not quite seated in the socket. I always had to double check that I was on a certain level and then pick the right parameter. A little movement of the mouse tended to cause the view to change.
It would have been much better if we saw a complete list and color coded to the individual's parameter. Asking someone to switch back and forth removes the at-a-glance comparative ability. All it took for me to make up my mind was to see the new material and functions. A good information chart has a simple set of parameters that can be seen without user interaction to display it beyond a simple scrolling.

Mike, Fortunately or unfortunately you have demonstrated perfectly why this entire rollout of L5 has been a consumer nightmare. Anytime you have to put two posts on a thread with graphs, charts, lines, etc., you have opened up Pandora's box.
