Migration Assistant

I just used migration assistant to move my apps including Logos 5 to my new MBP. It worked great. However, the user path now has the same as on my old MBP including the random number after data/####. So, if I choose to use the old MBP installation for beta testing will there be problems with the installation on my new MBP? I don't think so, but I wanted to check before changing the old MBP channel to beta and then finding my new MBP is also on beta.
Thanks

Both machines will identify themselves as the same device to our sync services (this is unrelated to the path at which your data is stored). If you encounter sync-related issues while beta testing, it may be more difficult for us to troubleshoot them because requests from each machine will be nearly indistinguishable.
However, none of the functionality of the app will be affected by this. In particular, changing the update channel will only affect the computer on which you change it. You can safely switch either machine to the beta channel without affecting the other.

Do you suggest reinstalling on the older machine or just be aware of the sync issues?

Just be aware of the issues, and please remind us if you report any problems with sync in the future.

Thanks David. This may be an issue as Mac users update their hardware. The migration assistant moved everything perfectly... no indexing, downloading etc.
