I updated to 5.0a just now, and when I restarted Logos after downloading the new update, the indexer crashed.

Access to the path 'C:\Users\Rosie Perera\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\........\LibraryIndex\supplemental-build.lxn' is denied.

If you have a Security/Antivirus program make sure it doesn't scan the \Logos4 folder. Then restart the computer, and  if necessary start L5 to get the indexer going.

That seems risky. What if I end up getting a virus in that folder somehow? It wouldn't get caught.

And why would this never have been a problem before?

I'm happy to temporarily disable virus checking while installing new software (at my choice) but permanently bypassing certain folders in my virus scan doesn't sound like a great idea.

Exclude only for scanning, especially if scheduled when you are working. Its real-time protection should detect unwanted installations

It's scheduled to scan only in the middle of the night, so I'm surprised if it was doing that.

Anyway, I was able to just run update index without even restarting Logos, let alone rebooting my computer or tweaking my anti-virus settings, and it seems to have gotten through fine the second time.

EDIT: Still, I would expect it not to crash if it fails to access a file. It should just quit indexing and try again next time the user restarts Logos or runs "update index".
