Single Column Reading

I was reading this morning with my iPad in Landscape mode with one column, then turned the page after an hour of reading and it suddenly went to two columns. I have no idea how I stumbled upon the one column. Is there a way to change it back to one column?

Jerry — In the view settings (Aa icon), you can set the columns to 1,2 or 3. In all likelihood, it is currently set to "auto." I leave mine set to "1".

More than likely it is a resource issue, rather than a software one. Can you name some resources & locations? Perhaps give some screen shots?

In some resources a 'fixed' line - perhaps a header - will force the display to one column. Once that has been triggered it will stay in one column for a while but should eventually return to two columns (perhaps at a chapter break).
