Single Column Reading

I was reading this morning with my iPad in Landscape mode with one column, then turned the page after an hour of reading and it suddenly went to two columns. I have no idea how I stumbled upon the one column. Is there a way to change it back to one column?

Jerry — In the view settings (Aa icon), you can set the columns to 1,2 or 3. In all likelihood, it is currently set to "auto." I leave mine set to "1".

I have mine set to two columns now when I change pages it changes it to one column. This is a glitch.
