Exit button to end the app.
Is there an exit button to end the app or does everyone just hit the home button and let it run?

Have a look at the discussion in http://community.logos.com/forums/p/54506/396512.aspx which talks about this

I read that. The last comment points out the android problem. The home key leaves the app running. Once you get enough apps running, your phone slows down. Then you have to start ending tasks or reboot. There needs to be an exit button that ends the task. You could always use the home key if you want it left running. But if you wanted to free up memory and processor usage, an exit button would be nice.

Why has no one answered this question yet? I just got a Nexus 7 and was messing with the Logos app and there is no way to exit. You hit the back arrow and it cycles through the passages and resources. Don't want to do that. I want to exit app. Right now I hit the home button, then go to task manager and kill the app. That isn't an economical way of closing out of an app. There is no menu button in Android 4.2.2. Am I missing something?

I think the answer is that it's designed to have Android manage the process behind the scenes. This seems to be the trend for a lot of Android apps and is my personal preference. If you want to close the process you'll have to enter the task manager or get an app killer

People have answered this question. It's the design of Android OS that apps should stay resident in memory instead of shutting down. See this post in that thread that was linked to above for an explanation: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/54506/396577.aspx#396577
I too think it's a stupid design, but it's the way it is. Logos could cave to pressure from users to add an Exit button against the flow of the Android standard, as some other apps have done. As far as I can tell, nobody has yet added a request for this feature on UserVoice, but you could be the first, and then encourage other users to vote for it: http://logosmobile.uservoice.com/forums/190765-logos-mobile-apps

Speaking as a long time Android user (rather than as a Logos employee), here's why I no longer use a task killer: http://www.howtogeek.com/127388/htg-explains-why-you-shouldnt-use-a-task-killer-on-android/
This article explains the technological reasons why Android apps don't have exit buttons in a very readable and easy to understand manner (in my opinion).
