Go window seems to be a verse off.

I just started using lofos on a Motorola Xoom running Android 4.0.4.  I noticed when I go to a virse, the previous verses listed are aways one verse off.  Example:  If I select Matt 6:15, it will show Matt 6:14.  It is always showing the verse before.  It seem that when you call up Matt 6:15, part of 14 is showing on the screen.  I think this may be the problem.  Is this just a problem with Android 4.0.4?

    Hi Jeff

On my HTC Phone - running Android 2.3.5 - when I select Matthew 6:15 it shows the last two words of verse 14 - "give you" - before starting on verse 15.

Is this the sort of thing you mean?

Yse. And it you look at the verse list that gets created in the "go" window, it will give the reference for verse 14 and not 15.  My phone running andriod 2.3.4 does the same thing.  I also notice my phone will not give you the lase verse you look up.  It shows the second to last.

    Good point

    Although it's not consistent.

If I go to Hosea 10:10, John 10:11, 1 Samuel 15:15 (for example) the verses are picked properly.

Romans 15:9 - on the other hand - picks Romans 15:8

I also notice my phone will not give you the lase verse you look up.  It shows the second to last.

Sorry, what do you mean by this?

Lets say you Select Hosea 10:10.  It will not show that virse yet.  Now you select John 10:11, now Hosea 10:10 will show on the list.  I have not check to see if this is consistently happens.

I did notice that if you select a verse, and the screen actually starts on that verse, it will display the correct verse number.  Maybe that was what happened on some of them.

How do we get these kind of things fixed in the next release?

Sounds likely - so the key issue seems to be where the text ends up on the screen

I'm hoping someone from Logos will see this thread and respond - they normally do quite quickly but I am aware it has been Thanksgiving holiday for them (until about now)

The verse being selected will not always be the top verse in the read display. For instance in the above screenshot navigating to Num 3:5-3:7 will begin with 3:5 and include the section header for better context.

If you swipe up on the text to show the list of actions for bible references it will show whichever verse you began the swipe up motion on. For the screenshot above I began the swipe up motion on verse 8 so it's the selected verse.

If you swiped up in whitespace or opened the action menu via swiping down then pressing the Plus button it opens the action menu without a selected reference and you need to select the reference via the left and right arrows. All bible references shown on the page should be accessible.

But if I just try and navigate to a single verse in the verse picker shouldn't this be the top verse in the read display - as opposed to part of the previous verse?

This is one of the issues raised in the posts above

    Thanks, Graham

I am sorry for the confusion, but my question was about the verse list that shows up when you selected the verse.  The statement about part of another verse showing up first was why I thought the problem was there.  This seems to be real anoying.  It usually shows the previous verse to the one you selected.

Apologies, I misunderstood what you were saying

It usually shows the previous verse to the one you selected.

Just testing this, it seems to show the top verse (or part of verse) displayed on the screen even if I select a verse at the bottom of the screen.

Do you see the same thing?

Yes, I see that same thing.  And if you scroll from page to page it really changes the previous pages if you go back.
