I cannot seem to get past "preparing library" though I've re-downloaded and reinstalled it several times. Sure love to know what it is like.

When you say "crashing" do you mean the application exits abruptly? do you see any error messages?

I have the same problem.
Windows generates a crash report, the indexer seems to then restart. after some time it will crash again.

I have the same problem.
Is the app terminating? Do you see any error messages? Are you connected to the internet during the prepare stage?
Side note: The next version will include local logging which you will be able to send to a support email and we'll be able to better diagnose future issues.

The windows application log shows an event 1001 APPCRASH Logos4Indexer.exe 4.0.3.3272 KERNELBASE.dll 6.1.7601.17932.
The frequency is every few minutes. I have events logged at 12:13:25, 12:18:31, 12:20:43, 12:26:00, 12:29:58, 12:35:54, 12:38:24, 12:43:09
Two get logged in each incident.
Logos4.exe *32 and Logos4Indexer.exe *32 both show in the processes the whole time.

sorry I didn't answer fully.
As far as I can tell from the processes tab the app does not terminate.
I previously posted the log information for the error message I see. That's the only one.
I am connected to the internet throughout the process.

Ah, so you're referring to the Logos 4 desktop client then, not the Windows Store Bible app. In order to get help with the desktop client you can use the Logos 4 Windows forum. Also feel free to call Logos support and talk to an actual person. http://www.logos.com/support

I've had trouble with loading apps a couple of times. I was able to fix the problem each time by "Refresh". It takes about 15 minutes and shouldn't be necessary, but that's what freed up my apps. Swipe from right. Select settings, the change pc settings at the bottom, then General, then scroll down until you see "Refresh your PC without affecting your files." You will need to plug it in to avoid a power loss in the middle of the procedure.
