Please help me on how to search when Yahweh refers to Father Only, Son Only, Holy Spirit Only, and Triune God only in Old Testament, New Testament and both combined.
If I'm not mistaken you should be able to find these listed under Lemma References in Biblical Facts.. You would pull Jesus (Son of God) and God (the Father)
Bible Facts Lemma for Jesus seems to point only to New Testament (and rightly so). I think clause search can help but need suggestions on the how to accomplish this.
I'm not sure how to do this with a Clause Search...
I don't think this can be done as this distinction is not recorded in the Biblical text. The revelation of God as Triune is progressive and isn't really explicit until the New Testament. Forgive me if I am stating what you already might know.
It is, however, my experience that most (if not all) times in the OT YHWH is referring to the Father. Granted I have not done and in-depth study on the subject but just some general observation.
Create a Visual Filter to find Yahweh in the OT and you will probably be amazed how many times this personal name appears. Far, far more than what even the HCSB includes. I do not believe from language alone one can achieve this task. It must involve interpretation and will rest on one's theology.
I would respectfully disagree David. In light of the Colossians and Ephesians pertaining to creation, I see God (Father, Son and Spirit) throughout Genesis and beyond.
What is most interesting is that the Son has been given a name above all others.
Best regards
I could be wrong for sure. I am though specificially referring to YHWH and not any other names or linguistic forms of God.I have also created the visual filter you were speaking of this past week. It is a great filter!
