I noticed in my control panel a program called "Logos 5 Prerequisites". Since I have already installed Logos 5, does anyone know if it is necessary to retain that program or can it be uninstalled?
I would assume that uninstalling the program would also uninstall the prerequisites, which would disable Logos 5. I'd leave it in, unless you hear otherwise from someone who knows something I don't.
I never tried it, but I imagine that you would lose a lot of Logos fonts that L5 needs (as a minimum).
Logos 5 Prerequisites is required for Logos 5 to run properly. Do not uninstall it (unless you plan on uninstalling all of Logos 5 and thus re-installing it).
I take it that this only affects Windows users? On the Mac I see all the fonts etc. that are needed inside the Mac Logos 5 application bundle.

That is correct. On Windows, some components (fonts, Microsoft VC++ runtime DLLs, .NET Framework, etc.) have to be installed system-wide; the "Prerequisites" installer does this.
Thank you all for the input. It makes sense now that I hear the explanations.
