I see the new Verbum App is available for the iPad. I installed it, but am I right in thinking there is no way to get the resources I have already in the Logos Bible App over to the Verbum app? I'll have to re-download everything, right?

Correct. Apple doesn't allow apps to share data.

Thanks! I thought that would be the case. I'll wait til I get home, the connections a LOT faster than at work!

Help!! How do you do that? I first put App on iphone.  but I wanted more books in the library.  so I purchased Verbum online and downloaded to my computer.  How do I get those books into my app library.  And surely I don't have to pay again (if so, I just want my money back).   I see nothing on the App or anywhere that allows me to "download" books I have purchased to my App library.

Welcome to the forums Todd! [:)]

I'm sorry, but I have no idea what you are asking. Can you try again?

Which app did you put on your phone? What is "that"?

Do you mean you "bought" (for free) the Verbum App for iOS? There isn't a Verbum app for your computer... but most of the resources which work within Logos also work on the mobile apps.

Most resources work across all platforms, but in order to use resources on mobile, they have to be "mobile enabled." (The publisher has to give the OK).

Have you used the same credentials (username and password) for all platforms?

You're right. I wasn't very clear.  Let me try to clarify:

    1.  My first action was to acquire (for free as you note) the Verbum App for my Iphone.   After opening it, I saw its library did not have certain books I wanted.  Based on the description of the Verbum App at Iphone App site, it appeared by purchasing the Verbum Software for my computer I could then share/copy items in its library with the iphone app in some manner (manner not described).

    2.  I went to logos website and read materials about Verbum program to purchase and download for my computer.  The website indicated it ("Verbum software") could be used on "devices", including iphone.  I inferred this meant that -in some manner -the Verbum program on my computer could "share" data with the Verbum App on my iphone.    Although it seemed as if this  would not be through the cloud (i.e. like itune match for example or google drive).

    3.  I bought and downloaded Verbum program.  Nice program,  Great Library.

    4.   I went back to Verbum App and its Library is still the same.

    5.   On your final point, to my knowledge I am using the same user name (email address) and password for both platforms.

    6.  I sought help here on how to "download" or "share" (or whatever the process is) select Library data that resides on my computer (or perhaps also in a Server somewhere in the control of logos) to my Verbum Iphone App.

    7.   The other query on this forum implied there is some method to do that.   I can't discern it from the Verbum program on my  computer nor from the Verbum APP on my iphone.

    Thanks.

I just wish to make sure you have the right account, as your library should be relatively the same (Some older volumes are not mobile compatible, but if you just purchased a Verbum collection i think all of them should show up on you mobile device. If you go to the gear  and select settings just to confirm your using the same email address. I apologize for sending you hear again but this is a head scratcher since it should be fine.

    Todd,

It seems like your mobile app just isn't syncing with your library. I would first try killing the app and restarting it (double click the home button, clear Verbum from the recent apps list) and if your library still doesn't show up, I would uninstall and reinstall it. This should force your newly purchased resources to sync to your mobile library.

I was confused at first, but I think I understand more clearly now. Is your desktop software called "Verbum?" I didn't know that logos had repackaged the software in that manner. I knew about the "Verbum" skin, but assumed the software was still called "Logos 5."

For clarification: you don't "share resources" from your desktop to your iOS device. Instead, resources are accessed via the Logos cloud servers, and resources can be downloaded that way. In other words, you don't hook up your iOS device to your computer to get data. Everything (including notes and highlights) sync via the cloud.

The strongest possibility is still using different credentials. To check:

    1. From the iOS app home screen, click on the gear wheel icon, then "about". Check email address.
    2. From the desktop app, click the Logos (Verbum?) menu, the "about Logos Bible Software" (again, Verbum?). Check the licensed to email address.

If both email addresses match, call Logos to see where the problem lies.
