I miss the Logos Christmas Credit from last year

Unlike the Christmas deal this year, It allowed me to get only the books I wanted and build a collection that fit my specific needs.

It would be good if Logos could bring it back

Christmas Credit (2011)

The Christmas Credit promotion lets you earn Logos.com store credit.

If you spend $100 between December 1 and January 2, you’ll receive
10% of your total as Logos.com credit. But that percentage can climb all
the way up to 50% with the more you spend, which you can put toward
even more Bible study resources in the coming year!

To participate in the Christmas Credit program, first sign up for the email list at the 2011 Christmas page.

How Christmas Credit Works

The total amount you spend this season will place you in one of five
tiers. Each tier offers to match a percentage of your qualifying total
spending in Logos.com credit—the more you spend the higher percentage
you’ll earn!

Spend $10 to $99.99 on qualifying products, and you’ll get 15% of your total in Logos.com credit (up to $15).
Spend $100 to $499.99 on qualifying products, and you’ll get 20% of your total in Logos.com credit (up to $100).
Spend $500 to $999.99 on qualifying products, and you’ll get 25% of your total in Logos.com credit (up to $250).
Spend $1,000 to $2,499.99 on qualifying products, and you’ll get 30% of your total in Logos.com credit (up to $750).
Spend $2,500 to $4,999.99 on qualifying products, and you’ll get 40% of your total in Logos.com credit (up to $2000).
Spend $5,000 or more on qualifying products, and we’ll match 50% of your total in Logos.com credit (there’s no cap to the amount you can earn)!

Me, too, but this year I have already spent more than I should have spent on the L5 upgrade. I don't think I could afford a Christmas Credit if it was available. I would love to see this done again sometime, if it is profitable for Logos. But after the roll out of L5, the cash just may not be out there to make it a big success.

Then again, it might for many others.

I'm in the same boat. I made an agreement with my wife not to purchase any significant resources for at least a few months after upgrading. But to be honest, I think that I have finally gotten all that I want for right now too.

Christmas credit was great but I'm happy with this years deals. Knocked some stuff of my wish list. Sure maybe a couple of titles in packages I might not have bought ortherwise but they weren't show stoppers. Thanks Logos for what you have been able to offer so far.

I'd probably make some major purchases if Christmas credit returns; otherwise, well, I've looked at the packages on offer and there's not really anything I have a burning need for. I will just save my money this year.

I'm in the same boat - have authorization from the wife to get some fairly pricey sets and books on the Christmas special this year, but the things on my list aren't matching what Logos is pushing as specials. Have they said they are not doing a Christmas special, or just no news? (If none, I guess I'll keep on saving til next Christmas)

Logos can't be expected to run the same specials EVERY year:

we would get bored,
everything would become predictable
people would ONLY buy at Christmas, and
SPECIAL would become regular and not at all special

I waited for my big purchases till Christmas anyway. I think that the Christmas Credit was an amazing sale that kept on giving.

I purchased the NICNT/NICOT in Sept because of the special price and thought that I would lose the Xmas Credit.

Oh well, I still would buy more if there was Christmas Credit!

I'm close to pushing the button and ordering L5 Silver (~$377.3 for me currently). If I knew I would also get the christmas bonus, it would be easier for this seminary student to justify the funds .

I like this year's approach. What more can we want than get customized pricing depending on the books we already have and a discount on top? I am very happy with this deal. I just would like to be able to see what resources of a bundle I already own and what is new.

Today we rolled out some price changes to some of the individual items included in many base packages. As a result, upgrade prices have decreased for some upgrades and increased for others.

This particular adjustment was an unusual, one-time change that shouldn't happen again in the future. However, the way dynamic pricing works means that very small changes in the magnitude of cents or single-digit dollars are possible in the future, depending on what you already own.

If you haven't yet purchased an upgrade, your upgrade prices went up, you were in the process of upgrading, and you know your previous upgrade price, we will honor the lower price through the end of the day on Friday, December 14. Please contact a sales rep at 888-875-9491 or sales@logos.com.

Please be assured of our commitment to provide the best prices to customers who buy early. As I mentioned, this kind of change shouldn't happen in the future. However, upgrade prices will go up when the special introductory promotional discounts end. It's still a good idea to upgrade sooner rather than later.
