Logos 5 or 4?

I bought this week the Logos 5 bronze version.

I've downloaded it, but when I opened it appear in the top bar: "Software Bíblico Logos 4"

In the home screen appear in portuguese (my native language): "Welcome to Logo 4"

But in the "about" section the version is 5.0.1.0259

Also when i got the free book of the month. The e-mail that I received was appointing that I have Logos 4...

All this is errors? Can I fix it? It looks so strange to me...

When I 1st upgraded this week, that was my experience, too, until it downloaded the ADDITIONAL L5 datasets... How big was your download? 500Mb or so? If that's the case, you may not yet have the new stuff that makes it L5. Have you tried keying in UPDATE NOW into the command box? Does a 1+ Gb download start?

When I installed it, it has almost 5GB... Because of the library...

But I was comparing in the videos, the one I got is the Logos 5. But I don't understand why it appear in a lot of places that is Logos 4... So strange...

Sorry… I can't be of more assistance. I am a MAC user. I know that Logos reuses the L4 folders on the Mac side.

Ummm is there any possibility that you are using Windows XP for your operating system? L5 does not play nice with XP and I think the minimum is Vista Operating system for L5...that's my two cents anyway...

What happens if you change the Language (in Tools > Settings) to English? Do you see Logos Bible Software 5?

I upgraded to Logos 5 yesterday. After it downloaded it remained Logos 4. I called system support and was told that Logos 5 will not run on Windows XP. You can get the books included in the upgrade but not Logos 5.

Yes, that is true. There are OS related reasons why support for XP has ended with Logos 4.x.

My system is windows 7.

I changed the language and the problem was solved. Than it is an error to be solved:

In the portuguese language it apears Logos 4 in the system, but is istalled version 5.

Waiting an updated...

I'm sorry for the confusion.

We have not yet updated the translations for Logos 5, so you're probably seeing the Logos 4 translations (for phrases translated in your language), and some English text mixed in (for new phrases not yet translated).

Spanish is coming soon for Logos 5, then other languages.
