Discounted prices

Could anyone tell me precisely what it means when I read that I "will receive a discount for the books you already own"? Does that mean I receive a *credit* for resources I own, or only a partial credit?

Ideally, I would receive a full credit for items I already own against potential purchases.

There have been many, many, threads and explanations of the upgrade calculator since the release of L5. If you have questions about your price, you can talk to Logos sales, search the forum (as chances are your questions are probably the same as others have already asked), or post here.

twice. The price will be discounted to take account of items you own.

I'm pretty sure he's referring to the Christmas bundles, which have the exact wording he quoted:

"Your price could be lower! You will receive a discount for the books you already own. The discount will be applied in checkout"

Some of the bundles have dynamic pricing, so the price on the page reflects the discounted price. Not all of the bundles have it, though. If the discount is 50%, then either you don't own any, or you need to add it to your cart to see the true price.

If you're intending to buy a package of some kind, you will not receive full credit. You will receive weighed credit, taking into consideration discounts already implemented in the package, etc. If you wanted to buy a base package that is normally $600, but you'd already purchased $800 worth of content that is in that package, they would not give you $200 and the package for free. That wouldn't make any sense.

Rather, however much the resources you bought are worth within the package is what you're credited. Basically, all the resources are discounted in the base packages (and Christmas packages). So if you were to buy each item in a package individually at retail, the total would be much more expensive. So they won't discount you what you paid full retail. They credit you for whatever the resource is worth prediscounted in the package.

I don't understand the missing discount.

So far as I know, I'm completely updated to L5, after which I raised my package level.

I assume that the bundle would be MORE without the two resources you already own. Which bundle was it exactly? Which resources do you own?

Agreed. The amount you are discounted is the amount the resource contributes to the bundle total price. As an example the Hebrew small bundle I own everything expcet one book, which is normally $26USD but if I buy the bundle I am paying only 10.78USD. Reversing that situation if this book was the only resource in the bundle I owned then the starting price of the bunlde of $79.95 would not be discounted by $26 but $10.78 since $10.78 is the contribution that this book makes to the total bundle price.

The calculator gives a discount before the shopping cart. $74.21 is already a discounted price. To see the full price, logout from the web, or use a different browser where you are not signed in, then you can confirm that you already got an adjustment.

I just bought my Bronze recently. Do I qualify for the discount too?

Seems that things have become confused as two different discount scenarios are being discussed. The main thrust of this thread deals with discounts offered in the Christmas bundles found here Christmas specials. Anyone qualifies for these discounts.

You seem to be asking about L5 Base Package discounts, which is a different animal. Do you have anything specific in mind?
