ERROR: Can't open up LEB on iPad after update
I just downloaded the new LEB update, and I get an error opening the resource. Get the same error in Vyrso. The old version works in Faithlife on iPad. Really needing this for teaching with my notes (Lots of them!). Anyone else having an issue. I tried removing Vyrso (as a test) and reinstalling. Didn't fix the problem. Please help!! Thanks.

I found the same problem with the LEB on the FaithLife app.
I had just signed my mom up for the FSB and installed the Faithlife app on her iPad. When we signed in and went to the reading view, the LEB immediately gave the error "Error loading book". Not a good start for a new user.
She already has the Logos app and was using it. The LEB was working fine for her on the Logos app at the same time it was failing on the Faithlife app. Then I noticed there was an updated resource to download on the Logos app: the LEB. Well it downloaded and now the LEB doesn't work on either of the Logos iOS apps on her iPad.
I have an iPad with the beta Logos app on it and it has not had any problems with the LEB. I installed the released version of the Faithlife app on my iPad, and found the same problem. So I updated to the latest Faithlife beta, and the problem went away.
My conclusion: The current version of the LEB is incompatible with the released version of the Logos iOS apps.
This should be corrected ASAP. Logos has an image problem here, especially since the LEB is the only Bible many FSB users have.

Tommy, thanks for your post and reply. If this fix is going to take more than a day or so, do you think it is possible just to post the last working version of LEB? I use LEB daily and have been trying to consolidate all my notes for Bible reading. It would be helpful just to have the last version available while you all fix the problem. Thanks.

There were a couple of threads about it today… Sorry! I think those with this issue are out of luck until Monday at the earliest.

Alabama, thanks for your reply. Hopefully this will be fixed quickly. I have gotten to a point where I am resistant upgrading anything from Logos. I really shouldn't have before teaching tomorrow. I hope in 2013 that Logos takes a hard look at their quality control. Buggy software and resources have been pretty consistent over the last 7 years I've been a customer. I'm sure they'll get it fixed. They do respond fairly well. It is just really bad timing. Have a good one.

It does seem like things get shipped right before the weekend, doesn't it? [:S] I also wonder sometimes if the right hand always knows what the left hand is up to.

Alabama,
That is a good point. It may be wise for Logos to consider posting updates during the week so that people are around to answer any problems people experience.
I am invested in Logos and want them to succeed, but I have a basic expectation that when an "update" is made available to the general public, it has be thoroughly tested. This builds good PR and trust in the technology and company. As much as Logos is fantastic in its depth of resources, availability on platforms, features, data sets, etc, the one black eye that seems to always reemerge is consistently buggy or problematic software and resources. It is as though they are comfortable in using their user base to discover problems. They don't seem to me to really want to be known as a company with rock-solid and reliable technology along with everything else. Sometimes it seems as though they have "free" software so that they are not held accountable for quality control.
I only say this so that Logos can become a better company. I don't know the inner-workings of Logos and can only give feedback on what I experience. I really, really, really want them to be incredibly successful. This will only be good for the expansion of the kingdom of God and training of believers around the world. I also have been quite pleased with the direction they have taken as of late with Logos 5, and I really enjoy this latest version of the iPad app. They have helped me personally with studying and doing ministry, but I can see that this is an area of improvement.
Blessings, Dave
