I have logos 4.3 on Macbook Air, all works well except when I click on "add from highlight style" on passage list, nothing happens.
Am I missing a step? Thanks.
I'm currently rebuilding the index to see if that will help.
Rebuilding index didn't change anything. I'm curious if this add from highlighter style works on any mac version 4.3 or if it's just there as a planned add in.

No, using Logos 4.3 on iMac, able to replicate lack of pop-up for Add to Passage List:
Also tried other Add menu choices, learned Logos 4.3 (4.30.0.1517) on Mac also has an issue adding from selected text.
Option: edit post title to add [BUG] prefix. Wiki has Using the Forums page.

I am able to reproduce the issue and will report it to Development.
Replicated Issue using Logos 4.3 SR-1 (4.30.0.1553).
Same problem here.
I was on a support call about a month ago and the technician seemed unaware of this issue. While on the call, he replicated the issue as well and informed me that he would pass the information up the line so that a patch would be submitted. He wasn't sure if it would get within the next update though.
Logos 4.5 Release Candidate 1 can add verses to Passage List using Highlighter style(s):
Logos 4.5 combines highlighting and notes; every highlight is a by reference note with highlighting style for display in text:
Option: add content to highlighting note. Also can modify abbreviated reference text in note file without affecting highlighted text.

Agreed. I now can get highlights from my Bible in my passage list! Yay!
Now, what would be good is the ability to get these highlighters to also come from readings other than the Bible. I have a Theology book where I have highlighted text with verses, and those don't show up in the passage list.
(Side Note: Not part of Passage Lists, so similar but really not directly part of this thread) Also, I would like to be able to go to "Notes" or "Clippings" and do a similar thing as this, where I could get all clippings from readings with a specific highlight. For instance. I highlight definitions of theological terms in Dr. Grudem's Systematic Theology. Then, I create a new "Clippings" list and have the ability with a drop down to Add every time I highlighted a definition to the clipping list. Would be a great help in preparing a Definition List for the final in my class. :-D

Every Highlight is a Note; could copy highlighted definition to Note file, then add your own musings.
For grins, highlighted an item in => The Moody Handbook Of Theology - Paul Enns using a Solid Color. By default, a note was added to my "Solid Colors" Note file:
Option is creating your own Note file for theological definitions. Open your note file, then select definition, right click, add to your open note file (with option for note indicator and highlighting style).
Thank you. I just noticed today that when I do highlight, there is a small popup that fades in and out that says, "A new highlight has been added to Definition Notes" or something like that. When I clicked on the link for the Notes it opened the Notes page with a full list of all of the definitions that I have highlighted.
Thanks for your help! Looking at the answers from Keep Smiling 4 Jesus from 13 Aug 11 and 22 Jan 12as far as I can see you add to the Passage list the word highligted in all the books of the Bible.
How do you add text to a Passage list from a specific book of the Bible from Highligher style?
Welcome [:D]
If sentences have been highlighted, could quickly do a Bible search for some common words that appear in many sentences in a book while looking for a highlighting style:
a, and, do, if, in, is, of, that, the, to, who
Then save search results as a Passage List.
A longer list of common words for a fairly quick search is:
a,about,after,again,also,among,and,at,because,between,but,by,do,either,even,every,for,from,if,in,into,is,it,let,like,meanwhile,more,near,neither,nor,now,of,on,or,since,so,that,then,there,thereby,therefore,these,this,those,through,to,towards,under,until,unto,up,versus,what,whatever,which,when,while,who,whoever,whom,whose,with,yet
To find all highlighted words, could do wildcard searching, which is noticeably slower:
a*, b*, c*, d*, e*, f*, g*, h*, i*, j*, k*, l*, m*, n*, o*, p*, q*, r*, t*, u*, v*, w*, x*, y*, z*
Thank you!

Could search for a specific word in a specific book with a highlighter style then save results as a passage list. Screen shot in this thread shows searching for a comma separated list of words; the list could be replaced with a single word for searching.
