I have seen the post regarding "Pronunciation Problems" but am not sure if the problem I am having is the same as the problems described on this post:

http://community.logos.com/forums/p/59849/436917.aspx#436917

does not appear to be what I am experiencing.

I have L5 (GOLD) running Windows 7 on my desktop PC...

Here's my problem:

Up until about a week to ten days ago, when I clicked on a word from my KJV Bible (or the NKJV, ESV) in the "Information" window, I could see the speaker icon and was able to click that icon and hear the pronunciation of selected word.  NOW, the speaker icon is not there.

I tried restarting my computer yesterday and it does not help.  Hope I've provided enough information to get advise on how to fix my problem.  Thanks-

I can toggle this via the Lemma (Greek) Settings options on the information panel

Do you have it set to show the Greek lemma?

    Thanks Graham-

I did not have it set as you described. However, I've not ever set it to Greek Lemma.  I did try setting it as you advised, but it did not change.  My setting is back to "Strong Numbers" where it was set from the time I first purchased Logos.  I've never changed any setting in the "Information" window.

The speaker icon is still not showing.

    Sorry, don't quite understand.

Were you able to change the settings so that Greek Lemma is now enabled

The problem is that from what I can see - unless Greek Lemma is enabled the speaker icon will not appear!

If you right-click on the word in the ESV do you get the "Pronounce" option against the lemma and does that work?

Ok---Graham----Sorry, if you misunderstood what I am trying to convey.  Let me begin again.  From the time Logos was installed on my PC over a year ago, I have NEVER changed any of my settings.  Then I upgraded from L4 to L5 and with that upgrade to L5 GOLD, I still did not change any of the default settings.  (I don't even know what Lemma is and what it does for me--really.  So, have no reason to mess with it).  Anyway, up to the time I stated in my first post (a week to ten days ago, I am unable to see the pronunciation icon that has always been there since L5 was installed).

I have always clicked on a word in my PREFERRED Bible (KJV) and been able to see the speaker icon and use it.  I didn't have to change setting, right-click, or anything 'fancy".  All I had to do was click on the word, then the icon and hear the pronunciation of it.

Then, you suggested I try changing some settings in the "Information" window, and, in my last post, I attempted to explain that I tried those suggestions and NOTHING worked.  I changed to settings to "Lemma" as shown in the screen print.  Nothing changed.  I changed it back to the default setting.  Nothing changed.  I still cannot see my pronunciation icon in the "Information" window.

P.S.  Just to be a good student and try to fix the problem, I opened the ESV (not my PREFERRED version) and followed the instructions on your last screen print example and NOTHING changed.  I am a little reluctant to go about changing a lot of settings that I don't understand  and then I'm left with another problem created that I cannot UNDO.  Hope you can appreciate that I just use the functions of Logos that I understand for now and ONE function was 'given" to me by virtue of owning Logos and now....it doesn't function anymore!

    Thanks-

    ADDENDUM!!!!

Okay!  Okay!  I called Technical Support at Logos and got the answer!!!

The problem is not anybody's fault. As a matter of fact, there is no problem, There's nothing wrong with Logos or (fortunately)....it's not me!  I realized with the explanation given from Logos TS, that the reason my pronunciation icon was missing is because I am studying the OT.....the Hebrew language!  However, when I enter a scripture from the NT, the icon appears.  Simply because the NT is translated to Greek and the OT is Hebrew.  So, in not understanding what Lemma is until now, impeded my ability to process (in my brain) why the icon wasn't appearing.   I had been trying to "get blood out of a turnip" so-to-speak.

Thanks, Graham....WOW!  Guess we would have gotten there eventually.

Hey!  So I realize I'm about 10 years behind helping out, but maybe someone else will come across this and it helps.  In the Information panel I had to click "Add" and the top right corner and select "Word Info."  That brought back the translation audio (the little speaker) by the Hebrew or Greek word being studied.  It put the Word Info section all the way at the bottom of the stack in the Information panel - I just dragged it up where I wanted it.  Blessings!
