Notes for Android
I'm fairly new to Android, so I apologize if this has been mentioned already . I did a search on the forums and didn't see an update since August 14th . Any news on being able to view individual note files on Android? (specifically kindle fire hd) Thanks!

Hi Ara - and welcome to the forums

Just to clarify - you mean to see that the actual notes documents (which isn't available yet) as opposed to being able to see notes attached to verses or selections (which is)?
Thanks, Graham

Yes, sorry about that. Viewing the actual notes documents . I'm coming from IPad where it was possible to do this . Thanks!

Yes, while available on iPad it's not available on Android as yet.
I'm afraid we don't know when it will arrive

I have typed notes which are attached to verses. How can I go back and view them?
Thanks

Yeah, I had that same question. The answer is that you can't unless you go the resources that has highlight then click on the highlight. Unlike the iOS or the desktop version, there is no way to view your note/document files at this time. Hopefully soon, otherwise all my notes I took are kinda useless because I rely on my mobile devices a lot.

Has there been an update to the viewing note question. I have notes attached to verses and I can't see which verse I had attached a note too. Very frustrating sense I rely on my tablet a lot when I travel. This is also the reason I have not updated to version 5 at this time. Thanks

As per Kevin's comment at http://community.logos.com/forums/p/67301/468864.aspx#468864 this is something which Logos still hope to add at some stage

Are you able to expand on this? I don't understand how these two things are related.

Hi Graham,
What I would like to do on my Android tablet is have the Bible text open and on the split screen have the discussion questions I have typed up for that evening's Bible study group. (Currently, I can open a commentary or other book on that split screen.) I'm hoping this is the way viewing a note document will work.
I obviously can't speak for Brian, but what I am feeling is that I am spending more time with my tablet than with my computer and I am looking for a feature-rich mobile app. I love Logos, but the mobile app is lacking some things, so I have delayed upgrading because I may need to invest in a different mobile solution.
Peace,

Absolutely understand - this is possible on the iOS app at the moment and I hope it appears on the Android app at some time.

Are you aware that you can upgrade to the new Logos 5 engine for free and get the advantages of the new UI and some other features (admittedly not all you would get with the various paid upgrade options) which may be of benefit to you when you are using the computer application? The engine is available at http://www.logos.com/installation
You would then have this while making decisions about how you wish to proceed in the future.

I was not aware of that and really appreciate your telling me. I really do like Logos and find it to be very valuable.
I'll wait with anticipation for the notes feature in the Android app.

Looking forward to accessing my notes on my Android.
It's easy to see notes attached to verses; it works great, even when I switch translations. But I have some desktop notes (with verse notes that I otherwise can access) that I'd also like to see and edit on my Android.

The functionality to view your notes has been added to the latest upgrade to the Logos Android app. I am running version 2.4.9. The note I have attached is for James 2:14-26 and it appears near the title of the paragraph (Faith Without Works Is Dead). Hope this is what you were asking.

No, this isn't what I had in mind. Yes, I do have access to verse-based notes. But some of my note files have additional items not attached to any verse. I don't know how to access them.
