Is a trial version available for the desktop? I'm interested in seeing this 'newspaper' or front page in action?

You could download and install the program but without any resources it wouldn't really do anything... you'd just get an idea of what the interface looks like...
I'm playing around with the iPod app now. I will probably order the Leader level v4 today on DVD. I'm just looking for something to work with 'til it shows.
Is the newspaper content primarily driven by user choices? how much content automatically shows up?

It is customisable in that different blocks of content can be turnedon or off; the content is made up of: random excerpts from books andmedia resources in your library; a book of the day feature; today'ssections from devotionals in your library; and various different rssfeeds from Logos such as the blog, news, Prepubs.

Even if you order the DVD version, if you download the installer http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/LDLS4Installer/Logos4Setup.exe,whenyou run the program and login using the same email as you use whenbuying, it should automatically sync your licences and download. (Butthen you could just get the download version?)

Your statement about downloading is correct for existing users only.
New customers who order the dvd must wait to receive it and only then can they activate serial numbers for liscensure.- per Stephanie in tech support.
I look forward to L4 when it arrives in "5-10 business days"
