Searching the Bible

How can I search just 1 or 2 books of the Bible instead of having to scroll through every verse that has that word in the Bible?  Even limiting the search to one or the other of the Testaments will help.

Also, how can I change or drop the resources in the resource window in the search mode?

This feature isn't currently available on the release version of the app. Logos is working on this ability, but I am unsure when the release version may have this feature.

I dont understand your question. Can you ask again?

In the search window, below the place where you type in what you want to search for is a drop down window that starts with "Entire Library", then "Recent Resources", etc. are a whole list of resources that I don't even know what they are and don't know why them versus what I would like to use.  Is that a modifiable list and if so how do I change them?

It's old data and has yet to migrate to the new sync infrastructure. When it does change over, you will probably create that info from within L5.

Does that mean that mean I could change that on my computer in Logos 4 and re-sync it? Or does that mean it can only be changed when I upgrade to Logos 5? Please unpack your last answer a little more for me.

    Hi David

This is not an L4/5 issue but an iPad app capability one.

Logos is rolling out new sync capabilities but it hasn't extended to this yet. Once it has, which will probably need new capability in both Logos and iPad software we should have greater control over this. At the moment there is nothing which we can do to affect this.

Sorry about my last answer… I was standing in line at the grocery store. [:)]

What I meant to say: the list of resources is currently a hodge podge. At one time, your resource collection info was supposed to sync, but this has been broken for a while (this would allow you to search a user defined collection, for example). The list also may include individual resources, but the name listed may be a short name (i.e. Holiness Day by Day might be HDD:TTYJ). Hopefully soon, your collection info will sync again properly from L4/L5, and recently opened resources will appear in the list with a more identifiable name.

Thanks for the info, because I thought it was my own ignorance of the software. I will try to be patient, but it is hard.  I am in full time ministry and taking an iPad or using my iPhone is much more convenient than the laptop.  Just upgrading this part of the app will make it hugely more beneficial than it is right now.
