Windows Store Apps
Logos is entering into the brave new world of apps for the WIndows Store (used by the Windows 8 operating system).
We have already released a free Verse of the Day application which can be found here.
Stay tuned for the first version of our Bible application coming shortly.

Amen and amen. [Y] Looking forward to it.
P.S. Will it then be available not only on both Windows 8 (and RT) but also on Windows Phone 8?

Hi,
I am having trouble with the posted link.
It takes me to a screen with a screen shot and some basic info.
On the left hand side I can see a box that says 'view in Windows Store'
This takes me to what I believe is the windows store but I can see no Logos app ... only something about Wikipedia, 'Ministry of sound', a young lady who appears to want to box! There are some silver cups about getting started ... which links to another page of non-logos apps.
1. Is the link broken ? ... I would have expected the 'view in windows store link' to take me to that app, not just to the store.
2. Is the store / app only available in the US? (am I seeing something different here in the UK?)
3. Where is the search? Or index in the store?
Any suggestions?

The link to App is at end of second line on "here".. link works for me in UK.

Thanks Dominic
I still cannot find it. My store is just a very wide (scroll across a single page) of overly large buttons, representing 'categories'. I cannot see logos anywhere. I have looked in 'Books and References' and find three other bible apps in a limited list of just 14 apps in total. Gone back out of that category (the designers need to be shot at this point [:@]) and tried the same in Education (11 apps), Lifestyle (8 apps), Spotlight - new releases (34 Apps) and Spotlight - Popular Now (9 apps).
I am not sure why there are only 9 'popular now' apps ... but then coming from a Mac/Windows background, I am finding this to be confusing ... maybe I need a smart phone to teach me a new paradigm.
I have just found the search (a basic function hidden until the mouse is in the top left corner!) and a search for Logos returns one app... the yellow pages!
Aaaarrrrgh!!!!

Don't look for Logos. Look for "Verse of the Day". I installed it a couple of days ago (as Bob announced it) and it works here in Europe.
P.S. What kind of Windows 8 you have? I might be wrong but I remember that in Preview Release (build 8400) I had a different content in Windows Store then I have now with the Evaluation version (build 9200).

Still no sight ... 'Verse of the Day' gives two bible apps but not one from Logos.
I am using 'Windows 8 Release Preview', Evaluation copy.Build 8400.
It was a 'free' install option with Parallels that I thought I would explore. Other then the Ribbons in explorer, I have seen little to commend it over W7.

I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if Release Preview isn't supported and our app is only available in the Windows Store on the RTM version of Windows 8.

Bradley is correct. The Verse of the Day app is only available in the RTM version of the Windows Store.

I don't know but as I said, I got it from the Windows Store on my Windows 8 Enterprise (Evaluation build 9200).

OK, now I see. RTM means "Release to Manufacture" version. I thought Bradley is speaking about RT version (just for tablets with ARM processors).
So I have RTM version of Windows 8 and that is why I was able to find it.
Sorry for the confusion.

I am using the RTM from my TechNet subscription from MS. You can get it that way as well as all versions of office and windows and more for about $200.

Sorry for the confusion I caused, too. I'm so used to "RTM" as an abbreviation that I didn't think about the possible confusion with "Windows RT". I'll be more careful in future.
Although... I blame Microsoft, who started it when they chose to use RP (Release Preview), RT ("RunTime"?), RTM (Release To Manufacturing), etc. [;)]

You are perfectly right. Let us blame Microsoft for the confusion. [:D]
P.S. Thank you Bradley for your patience in explaining and answering all the questions. You do a great job. [Y]

"Triple hear" [:D] Loving the Lumina 920 and Windows Phone 8 - will be overjoyed if we someday get a Logos app that might be somewhat comparable to the iPad/iPhone app.
