Hi Bishop Salamat
One of the problems is that we don't know where all of the places in the Bible are and some of them no longer exist.
How closely does the Bible Facts database give you what you are looking for?
Right-click on a place, select "Place" in the right-hand menu and then select Biblical Places on the left

What if you were to click on the map reference grid for the place name you're looking at (in the upper right hand corner)... that'll lead you to Google maps and the location of your place. Might that help you find out what it's called now?
It's probably not the most accurate way to find things, but hey it might just help a little. [:P]

Almost always, a good Bible Dictionary with a bent toward archaeology is needed (eg Anchor Yale, etc) with the phrase 'Today's ....'

One of the things we really asked for years ago was a revitalisation of the Logos Atlas system with modern overlays. Alas, it has never come. If you need/want this sort of feature beyond static maps, you will need to go to one of at least two other Bible programs that I know that provide this.

I done this just yesterday. I was looking for Colossae.
What I done was:
1) Open Bible Facts
2) Type in Colossae.
3) Left click on the grid coordinates and Google Maps automatically
opens up to that point (assuming that you have the internet turned on). I
zoomed out for more clarity and found that it is apparently in modern

Thanks very much my friends. I appreciate Logos community that you are always willing to help. Thanks again.
I was wondering that maybe there is some resources in the library with the modern place names. I appreciate all your help.
Blessings

It was promised in the old newsgroups...and what we got was what we now have. I agree Logos it seems didn't fully understand what users wanted. Don't want to take away from the current tool, but this feature needs to become a part of Logos, hopefully Logos 5 and not Logos 6, that's if they get around to bringing back the stuff they promised to do so from L3 into L4 in L5.

Ah yes... the old usenet style newsgroups. I was just thinking about those groups the other day.
I do like the Biblical Facts tool and the way that it dip lays the maps from so many resources. Logos does some pretty cool things, so I'm not knocking that at all. It just I like maps and would like to see a dynamic tool, but I suspect it is a major project like designing your own text editor.

I just came across this resource in Vyrso, which looks like it might fill this need.
