Cannot download books for offline use
I'm using a brand new HTC One S running Android 4.0.3. I have installed the latest version of Logos Bible (2.2.8.1). According to this page (http://www.logos.com/support/android/offlinebooks), I should be able to download a book for offline use by clicking the Info button (beside the name of a book in the Library) and then press a Download button on the book info page.
However, I do not see a download button (or any clickable button or link) on the info page, so I cannot download any books.
I'd appreciate some advice on how to fix this.

You can only download books which you have purchased.
Are you making use of the free books which are made available with the app? If so, these are there for online use but can't be downloaded to your device.

Is the information in your reply (about free books only available online) readily accessible on the Logos website? I haven't come across it.
Added to that, my wife has the Logos app for iPad, and she has a wide range of free books and bibles which downloaded easily onto her device (for free). Is there a reason (other than a lag in development of the Android app) for this difference?

I'm afraid I don't know whether it is available on the main Logos.com website

That does surprise me - I understood that the limitation was present across all mobile platforms. Indeed there are posts in the iPad forum which talk about this. See http://community.logos.com/forums/p/48082/356713.aspx for an example.
There are two different types of "free" resources:
- those available with the mobile apps
- those which Logos "sell" for free - such as the Lexham English Bible
It would be interesting to know which categories we are talking about here.
Are you able to give some examples of the free resources which were downloadable onto your wife's iPad?

Can you provide an example of a resource that does not show as being available for download for you?
If you are logged into the app with the same email address as you are using for this forum account, then it appears to only have access to the 'free' books.
Any mobile resource which you purchase from us will be available for download. On the website, it will say if is is available on mobile (e.g. http://www.logos.com/product/1587/english-standard-version says "Runs on Windows, Mac, and mobile"). However, as Graham linked you to a discussion of, most of the 'free' books are only available for viewing online. There are a few 'free' ones that are downloadable, though, such as the King James Version.
There is no difference in whether you are licensed to download a resource on iOS or Android.

Thanks David. Never knew that. Now downloading for my seven year old who wants to read everything in sight. She now has the Lexham English Bible and the King James Version. Will let her experiment and find a modern version that she likes and get it for her.

Hi David,
I've worked it out. I'm a bit new to smartphones etc!
We actually own a copy of Logos 3 for Windows, which happens to be registered using my wife's email address - which is the address she used when installing the Logos app on her iPad. So that seems to be why she was able to download a lot of resources to her iPad. I didn't realise that the resources available to mobile apps is linked to the desktop resources already pruchased.
All sorted now.

Hey David, I'm having the same issue. I own Logos 5 bronze, and have no issue on my iPhone, iPad, or macbook pro, but when i sign into my account on my nook HD+, it says I don't own the book. The only download I see available on the first screen is the lexham, but not other resources I own, like the ESV. Any Ideas?

Just checked the faithlife app also. When I touch the Bibles, it shows a $10.00 for ESV, and when I touch that, it goes to the store, which says I already own it.

Which version of the apps are you running? The latest stable version available via the Google Play store is 2.5.3.3. You can confirm your app version by opening the side panel, clicking on the gear icon, then tapping on About.
Do you know which version of Android your Nook HD+ is running?
Do you have a good network connection? If all you see listed in your library is the LEB it makes it sounds as though your device is offline. Or your library has not properly initialized. I assume you have a working network connecting given you can access the in-app store however.
