Clippings on iPad (suggestion)
I am a new logos user and I am loving being able to do reading, note taking and highlighting on the go using my iPad. However, I would still love to see clippings compatibility with the iPad/iPhone as well. There does not seem to be a quick and easy way to store selections of text for later reference without creating notes (and then referencing back with the click through) or creating a separate highlights note file for individual resources which is a little cumbersome because the highlighting function does not automatically remember the last document the highlights were saved too and needs to be manually set each time.

I'd love to see this update too in terms of allowing clippings to be made, viewed and edited on the iOS app.
There is an option/setting on the Logos iOS app to ask the app to automatically remember the last note you stored a highlight to - and ask it to add future highlights automatically to that note - rather than having to manually change the destination file each time you make a new highlight.
Here are the screen shots on how to do it (using my iPhone):
When I've used clippings and then exported them, the information includes the location of each clipping as a page number. When using highlights, I've noticed that I'm getting section numbers--even though the resource has page numbering.
Is there a way to specify, when highlighting, that the location information for the highlighted text should use page numbers?

I wonder if Logos could comment on this? I see that the feature of being able to create clippings for research on both the desktop and iPad as a serious tool in the toolbox for academic study. Notes don't cut it, particularly if you are wanting to export your research to merge with other mediums (i.e. journal clippings from Sente, Papers, etc) I presently use Devonthink to do this, but I am constrained to the desktop. Sente on the other hand allows me to carry on my research both on the desktop and iPad.
This would be a wonderful New Year's gift to see this come to the iPad ASAP. Please, please, please! [:)]
As a work-around of sorts, here's what I'm doing.
1. Use the highlighting feature in Logos on the iPad to mark text that you'd like to clip.
2. Open Logos on your desk and bring up both the highlights and the clipping tool.
3. Click on each highlighted text to open the resource at the text of interest.
4. Select the highlighted text and drag it to the clipping tool.
Admittedly, you have to go through two steps (first highlight the text on the iPad, then later open the highlight and make an equivalent clipping). But it gets the job done if you don't mind revisiting each highlight one more time from the desktop to create the equivalent clipping.
Still this is much more painful than it should be. Wouldn't one think that reading on a portable device like the iPad would be a natural for wanting to capture clippings?
Yup, that's what I do as a work around as well. The good part is that it allows me to use my iPad to carry on with my research when I can't use my laptop easily. The bad part is that it's an additional step. It would be VERY helpful for research to have clippings on the iPad. I hope this comes in the new year at some point soon. [:)]

Would love to see this feature added. It is a fairly significant component to the Logos system and its absence definitely hampers my ability to use Logos effectively on these specific devices!
