OBSERVATION: Personal Books, 5.0b Beta 1, and 5.0a SR-3

I have one computer running 5.0b Beta 1, and another running 5.0a SR-3. In the past, I could compile Personal Books on the primary machine (the one with the Beta now) and manually sync the compiled books to the other using the Scan command and all was splendid. However, I have noticed in the past couple of weeks, since about the time I started the Beta, the PBs compiled on the Beta produce the "you don't have a license" raspberry on the non-beta machine. The file is present in the Resources folder of the non-Beta machine and the header appears in the Personal Books resource on the non-Beta machine.
I reviewed the Release Notes for 5.0b Beta 1, but could find no mention of this. Is anyone else with a similar arrangement able to confirm this?
Since I am a natural optimist [:S] , I am hoping this indicates some automatic PB sync effort is underway.

I do congratulate you on that ability. But I have never been able to accomplish that.
My experience is more in line with your later (per instalation etc ) compiling.
But I do not know if this comment is of any help?

That is my experience as well.
Logos has indicated they will introduce a feature to sync PB's as our other resources and data does, but to my knowledge no timeline has been offered

Well this is how it worked until a couple of weeks ago. It is a procedure modified from an idea from KS4J, if I remember correctly. I think it should still work outside the L5 beta.
- This is using (at various times) Win 8 / Win 7 / Win XP
- Use Internet is ON for both machines.
- Compiled the books on Machine 1.
- Used MS SyncToy to sync the PBB compiled books to a separate folder on Machine 2.
- In Logos (was 4, now 5) on Machine 2, ran the Scan command with the path for the separate folder with the PBB files.
- Closed Logos on Machine 2.
- Restarted Logos on Machine 2 and allowed it to index.
- Personal Books were there.
- The headers in the Personal Book Tool window sync, I think, with Logos' regular sync of other stuff.
I noticed my anomaly first when Machine 2 was Win XP running L4. When I upgraded it to Win 8 (worked out quite well, BTW) and L5 (stable), and the issues persists. And actually, I got in the Beta too early, it's very crashy.
Hope that helps.

Wonder if adding steps to sync PBB metadata affects licensing anomaly ?
3a. Click sync arrows on Machine 1 in Logos to upload PBB metadata to Logos servers, wait for arrows to stop spinning.
4a. Click sync arrows on Machine 2 in Logos to download PBB metadata from Logos servers, wait for arrows to stop spinning.

Thanks. I have been under the impression that syncing was auto when Use Internet is ON, but I'll try explicitly forcing sync in both directions and see how that works.

Automatic sync does happen, but can lag a bit, especially for download. Logos periodically checks for new items on server to sync.

I would add an epilogue to this thread. I have subsequently discovered that I was sync'ing to the wrong folders, as the other machine did not update L4 to L5, but had a new install, which presented different folder structures.
